YES she's been through a lot but so have so many other people. Siennas been through a lot but she still got the help she needed and turned her life around. So many people told Maxine to stop lying and tell the truth to Damon. Misbah, Dr Levi, Sienna, Mitchell they all told Maxine that she needed to stop and when Maxine said she would they all believed her. They had no idea how far they lie would go or what extremes Maxine would go to. She had a choice to stop but she didn't.

Damon lie did not hurt anyone and did it out of love to give Maxine her dream wedding as he believed she was dying. There was nothing really bad in Damon’s lie. Maxine’s lies caused pain and hurt to Damon and their friends.

Imagine finding a confidential file you have no right to read, and then reading it and not apologising! Some might say: well they recognise the name on the file so they were obviously curious. But that’s even more of a reason to not read it, as it’s betraying confidentiality and someone you know. Then imagine being told that you can’t discuss the file as someone you know can be sued for malpractice but then running to confront the person whose confidential file you read! Maxine should never have faked it, but the file should never have left a confidential space, should never have been read by non medical people and her medical details shouldn’t have been discussed in public by doctors or people she knew, without her consent.

She lied, used people, used a lie to get her own way & made other people go through hell for her, because she said she was dying.
