Robert Lee's Commonwealth origins are so rarely evident, but to hear him say Series One instead of Season is quite nice.

29:06 Sorry but Kari fires before she has taken aim at the target--as in, firing towards the ground, and then she raises her arm... Maybe her shot might have hit someone in the leg but the likelihood of that succeeding would be fairly low... So, I don't consider her test valid.

Yep. That's why her "reaction" was faster. She fired earlier simply because she fired when her gun was lower than at the first try.

HOW is nailgun gun busted? WHAT? in movies, nails never go thru or even completely inside the body, every movie i've seen where nailgun has been used to shoot someone, nails are always sticking half way out. that wooden board is MUCH harder than human skin and flesh. they should have tested on ballistics gel, they would have gotten different results for sure. however it wouldn't be lethal, unless you aim for eyes, but i doubt flying nail would have enough force to penetrate skull or any other bone.

The problem I see with the "endless gunfight" myth is most people... smart people anyway.... aren't just going to pop out and empty their entire clip at one target. They're going to moderate their fire, conserve ammo, moving around to get better lines of sight and/ore cover. At the very least stop shooting when the 20th bullet hits the guy lol. Also they likely would have several mags on em. Take all that and consider that in these gunfights there's usually big groups of enemies shooting. I don't know if a gunfight like that would go 5 minutes but they would certainly last longer than 4 seconds.

what happened to the ballistic gel for this episode?

reaction is better than action is true and false. when it comes to average person and they do a test, then reaction is faster, because of adrenaline. they even said they're more focused. but when it comes to actual duels, then action is better, because you can't be in situation like that without having serious adrenaline rush.

I mean... the silver bullet wasn't off mark so bad that a little adjustment to where you're aiming couldn't make a kill shot... Obviously, you'd have to have prior knowledge that silver bullets don't fly straight, but someone like a werewolf hunter would probably know that... I'd say it's more plausible than busted 🤷🏻‍♀️

Nah mate, your answer is gonna be flagged as tell me you don’t use gun without telling me you don’t use gun. One of the most important aspect of using/shooting a gun is accuracy, the ability to constantly and consistently hit target in a small area without too much deviation. They shoot 3 shots, each goes so wild off the intended target which proves that silver bullet is useless. Furthermore, silver bullet in any shape or form have been proven to be little to no use. I’ll provide link.

@phucletran2860 well no... They still hit the body even though they missed the target. They either hit under the mark or to the right, so logically, it would make sense to aim closer to top left than actually on the bullseye

@@raynaives9804 this confirm my guess that you don’t/haven’t shoot a gun or have good gun knowledge. It’s okay, no problem. First, for the accuracy, i said “to constantly and consistently hit the target without much deviation” mean that all the shot after the first shot have to hit (at the very least) close to where the first shot was regardless of how long it follow. In the video, after the first shot which is a miss, the second and third shot provide an acceptable result which to any gun user is useless. Inconsistent shot pattern. Have you considered the possibility that when you aim top left and your bullet decided to go bottom right, or top right? There’s a reason when buying scope, one has to zeroed their shot (aim and shoot to see their bullets hit what they aimed at). Second, the second bullet tumble which as shown in the video hits side way which is none lethal and it is again useless, better of use a knife when your gun just hit like pebble. For a bullet to work, it has to pierce deep into the body to have any effect. That’s why they use ballistic clay, to see the effect of a lethal hit inside a body, how deep it can go, how much effect it can produce. And Third, the time you spend adjusting to your unreliable gun provides your target/foe/enemy enough time to close in and kill you/fightback/retaliate. There’re reasons for why there’re no pure silver bullet and not juts because of the economy.

@phucletran2860 I've shot a few guns, actually 🤷🏻‍♀️ and to be fair, my comment was theoretical speculation 😂 'I know how good a shot I am, so professionals could almost certainly do it better' kinda thinking. But if it's definitely not the case then fair enough 🤷🏻‍♀️

@ sure. Since you know gun, such speculation is out of question in the first place. BUT, it is not the case so fair is fair

Ehm...testing the penetration of a nail gun with a wooden target, when you want to confirm its use as a improvised weapon against an opponent? Shoot into ballistic gel and see how it penetrates. A human body, even one covered with a shirt, is a way softer target than wood. And if those nails would penetrate about an inch, that would be enough to do some real damage...or at least it would hurt as heck. They made the wrong experiment so I doubt this myth is really busted. Same with the Mac10 drop. First, it's an action comedy movie, not a documentary. Second, yes this kinds of hair trigger have been reported, but I hope manufacturers made their weapons better over time. My sergeant at the military told me to use an UZI in close quartier fighting by taking the safety off and just drop it through a window in a room where it would empty the mag inside. So, I guess there were some guns that were infamous for having a bad reaction to dropping. But since this is not a good thing, they will be sure to fix that, because you are more likely to injure yourself by accidentally dropping it than an opponent.

The myth of the fast-shooting cowboys and outlaws is based on revolvers that have to be cocked and not a semi-automatic pistol.🪬👀🇨🇭
@phucletran2860
@phucletran2860 2 ай бұрын
They aimed to test the reaction time in a quick draw showdown, whether you survived if you draw first or last. In most movies and games even, that the one draw last survive. Therefore, the use of automatic makes sense. Also, have you considered the fact that both cowboy cock their revolver before hand?
@Lahiss
@Lahiss 2 ай бұрын
They were testing reaction times, not skill with unfamiliar weapons. Simple to use modern pistol worked best for that test. Skilled revolver user would hone in the cocking action into their reaction.
