I babysat for Hoot’s family when he died. He had a little brother who was a toddler at the time. It was a small ski town and I know his death was not quick and what his friends witnessed that day would haunt a person for life. Gus must be a strong individual and I’m so grateful he got to have this experience with Tyler. The crazy thing is- this video somehow found it’s way to me totally randomly on KZbin. I didn’t search for it or even know about it. As soon as he said “Hoot” my heart nearly stopped and I knew exactly who this was. While I didn’t know Hoot, only saw him in passing at their house, his death stayed with me for a long time. Wow.

My friend has also been gone a while and it's interesting the stages of how we grieve bc I was and am so hurt but I'm starting to get some acceptance around it. I blamed her for a long time, how could you just leave me here like this? But now I understand more and I hope that you're okay and remembering how your friend made you feel, their smile, and the good parts. That is what pulls me through. I wish you all the peace and healing you need. My friend acted a lot like a mom to me. I miss her and I remember all of us living in the dorm and I was so depressed. Leave me to die here. 🤣 Laura came busting in "oh absolutely not. how long has this been this way?" An hour and a half. The other girls ratted me out. "Get up. You're not going to just sink into the earth. You have to stop this. Oh look I have some snacks. Oh you want these snacks? Make your bed, go take a shower. I’ve been a therapist since 2002- In 2011 One of my clients was going through a really hard time with a break up and just really depressed- well 20min into the session I felt this overwhelming presence of LOVE beaming through every cell of my being and then there was an instant download into my mind.. (telepathic communication) I am a family member that has passed away and I am here to love and support him- so I asked him, do you have any family relatives that have passed away... There was silence for a minute and then he said yeah my dad- In that moment I was shown that we never stop existing and that we are truly magnificent beings ! Dave019 Brett San antonio does video readings now. Tyler is probably booked for years so you are better off with Brett if you want a reading within a couple months. There are scams out there and I assure you Brett is the real deal . He was on season 12 episode 6 and I am sure he was heavily vetted as I am sure Tyler was. Both are not cheap though(I heard Tyler was like around $600-700 while Brett is $300 for 1hour 30minutes) so ready to pay a pretty penny. I am not an ad for either but I feel the comments on here are scaring people away from the legitimate mediums/psychics. What an extraordinary man Gus Kenworthy. It is in his name...... he is most worthy of respect and admiration for his courage and humanity. If I had had role models like this chap when I was a teen my life would have been completely different. I hope it will be for others now. His feeling that he should have been the one to die I fear is all too often the case in many situations for young homosexual lads. It was for me. I began writing suicide notes when I was 8 or 9 years of age. At 22 I did it. 3 days in a coma but I survived which even the doctor could not explain. I never tried it again but I remember the feeling of not deserving to live and that was the message that the society gave me. So people like Gus give an alternative message especially in a country that is so openly hostile, bigoted and discriminatory towards homosexuals. I hope the young people will listen to him and others like him rather than the ugliness so aggressively voiced. I had to laugh though when asked when the death took place and he said "a Long time ago" pause ..... 12 years. It is wonderful to be reminded of this perspective. For him 12 years is nearly half his lifetime. For me now it is a drop in time. My first experience with death and tragically was my mother's closest friend who at the time was 32 murdered by gangsters. I was 12, her son was my age. That was 1959. I was 24 when my maternal grandmother the person I loved most in the world died. That was 46 years ago. Time is relative but it makes one think.

I also survived a suicide attempt. I feel the same way you do, if I had a role model like Gus I may not have attempted to take my own life. The courage these young people display in coming out will save countless lives!
