Peter Marshall was the greatest host of the Squares by far - and he could have kept on hosting it for several years if it wasn't cancelled. Much better host than John Davidson or Bowzer. Tom Bergeron did a great job hosting this version of the Squares and I wished that it was brought back today!

It's too bad it was cancelled when it was. The then-president of NBC wasn't a big fan of game shows, so he cancelled this, Chain Reaction, and High Rollers, to make way for a morning talk show hosted by David Letterman. It only lasted five months.

Since ABC has fun and games and many of them are comedy game shows, why not revive Hollywood Squares.

Rod Roddy is a good guest announcer for 2002 Game Show Week on Hollywood Squares.

Tom Bergeron and the production crew did the right thing letting Peter Marshall host Hollywood Squares again in this episode, but if only Henry Winkler (since he was the last to executively produce Hollywood Squares) and the rest of the production crew brought back Marshall to host the show again on April Fool's Day 2003, it would be a much better April Fool's treat to enjoy than the joke they planned to play on Tom, the panelists, and us, the viewers!

@PraiseBreak1020 And there's a bit of irony there, because at one point the Marshall-"Squares" was on opposite "The Price is Right",and the latter played a role in the former's cancellation.

That was so cool to see Bob Barker TWICE in the "Behind The Squares" section for Game Show Week for Hollywood Squares!! The first one were Tom asked Bob if he can help Bob with "The Price Is Right" and the second one when Bob asked Tom who's the new host for "Hollywood Squares" since he enjoyed Peter Marshall when he hosted the show! Funny reaction to Tom after Bob asked him who was the new host! haha!! God Bless You!!!!!
