Not many now remember that Bruce Jenner was once the World's Greatest Athlete. . .an honor bestowed on the winner of the Olympic Decathlon. Bruce won the gold medal for the US in Montreal in '76. Even with the title of the world's greatest athlete, he later said that he had issues with his gender. He had a great look on ChiPs. Fit right in.

@@TheHenrymontemayor Yep. I watched it. Bruce/Caitlyn and I are the same age. He was a magnificent athlete. The decathlon is such a grueling event over two days of competition. It's my favorite Olympic event. I was a good athlete (baseball/basketball/tennis) with exceptional "throwing" skills, pretty fast and could jump But the pole vault? Huh uh. No fucking way. And yet, decathletes do it all. He had that great hair and the All American face and yet, deep inside, he was battling emotions on gender. You might recall that Wheaties box pose with Jenner carrying a small American flag after winning the gold. I saw him back then on ChiPs. And occasionally on reruns now. Now sure why I like this show as much as I do. It was kinda hokey but the chemistry among the actors was good. Calif still was a nice state then. The show still has "legs". Rerun heaven keeps us all happy.
