My mum Anne had a very old copy of the diary of Anne Frank...I bought her new version few years back when I visited the house and went on the tour...so strange, glad I have been there and it's true all Anne's cut outs of movie stars still glued to bedroom wall , perspex cover to protect them

Thank you for this @Hollywood Graveyard. My great great grandfather, Richard La Reno, and great grandfather, Eddie Phillips, were in the silent films and are both buried here- one by the mausoleum and the other in Secret Gardens. My great great grandfather, Richard La Reno, played Big Bill in The Squaw Man, Buffalo Bill on the U.P. Trail, and Black Orchids, as well as many other Cecil B Demille films.. My great grandfather, Eddie Phillips, was in the 20's silent film series The Collegians and over 100 other silent shorts/films... I grew up looking at pictures of them while on set, hung up in my grandmother's home... The family stories I've heard of Hollywood in those days is something I treasure.

I was just surprised and smiling so much to see Peter Bruni. Disneyland Showtime was something my dad taped when it was on the Disney channel in the late 90s and we watched it a lot. (And I still do cause it's on youtube.) So when you said he played Mr. Gridley, I was like, "Well, look at that, and thanks for remembering someone who was such a big part of my childhood.

Rance Howard used to take his sons Ron and Clint to the pro wrestling matches at the old Olympic Auditorium in L.A. The character of Mr. Strongbow on The Andy Griffith Show was named for wrestler and promoter/booker Jules Strongbow, who appeared as a heavy in several movies, including :The Road to Morocco, with Bob Hope & Bing Crosby..

If you ever visit this again, you should talk about Tamara Toumanova. She was a Russian Ballet dancer and made her film debut alongside Gregory Peck in 'Days Of Glory'. She's buried in the Garden of Legends by Cecil B Demil, near the lake. I'm related to her, and my mother took care of her in her final days, as well as her mother. She was quite influential in the Ballet world, and has quite an interesting life story. For sure deserving of her spot in the Garden. Look for the whispering Cherub by the lake, and you'll find her foot marker

I'm Dutch and it's very nice that they put a plaque up to honor Anne Frank. As i can read Dutch i found a small error in the spelling. The Dutch phrase is DIT is een foto, not Die is een foto. (dit means this, die means that) Maybe they will notice someday. In the picture where Anne wrote the phrase herself you can see it too.

@@Landofmyfathers-h9c I have to ask if you LISTENED to the story behind the memorial? Anne Frank's story is not being 'claimed' by Americans. This is simply a quite lovely tribute to her and her school girl dreams of going to Hollywood one day. I truly think she'd like the idea of being remembered where some of the very same Hollywood stars are laid to rest that she must have watched on film. Her diary was the basis for a successful and popular film & telling her story helps keep her memory alive and the horror of the holocaust relevant. How can any of that be construed as anything but respectful? I will make the case that Anne Frank has become a symbol of hope for the world and as such All countries should be honoring her memory.

Watching these videos are relaxing for me. It is odd that I have a death ☠️ anxiety 😦 issues and I find these videos awesome and educational. I love them for finding old movies and music to listen too. It helps me remember all the movies I have seen. These cemeteries are so well maintained.

@Andrea Alta I have death anxiety too! Normally I can't handle or be around any of the death stuff, death industry due to that, it all makes me physically uncomfortable. I came across Arthur's channel Summer 2019 and watched it just out of curiosity really expecting to not be able to handle it but it surprised the hell out of me. It's so incredibly well researched, presented, and he's got a great narration voice too. I'm not at all a fan of most KZbinrs and their "content", I think most of it is downright pathetic but Arthur's been an entirely different story, he earned a subscription from me! That says so much about him and it's a huge compliment considering my death anxiety. The Special themed episodes are incredible too! When I'm watching Hollywood Graveyard I'm totally fine, there's no anxiety because he talks about their actual lives and accomplishments! I will say some of these cemeteries are unreal, this one in particular is well really a resort hotel for the dead, I'm not sure whether to be impressed or creeped out at that! I hope Arthur continues with this for years to come!

The fact that you took down a video that already had a decent amount of views because it had errors & re-uploaded the corrected version (which in doing so, obviously makes it so you lost all those views) is one of the many reasons why you guys are one of the best channels on You Tube. Your integrity is stellar.

Exactly, Arthur has never ever been snotty, stuck up or rude. He takes all feedback good or bad seriously, with each new video you can see the results of the feedback in some way or another. Any mistakes made get corrected very quickly. The whole thing is excellent, extremely well researched, and respectful of the dead. I really do hope this will be picked up by a TV network eventually so an even wider audience can enjoy it and also so it gets the wider praise it deserves. The format is perfect for TV.

Thank you for sharing. I was drawn specifically to the late Rudolph "Rudi" Sieber's photo and grave, probably because it has the year that he died which is the same year I was born. Somehow, I kept getting this irie feeling to research him because something seemed ironic to me but I couldn't explain what it was. Rudi died the exact day before I was born, and if that isn't enough to freak me out, today (02/20/2022) would be his birthday. Again, Thank you for sharing.

Beautiful Swans. I'd love to get in there with some bronze polish ... I'd be there for years! The Howard family ... what a history, family! Harley Hamilton, born the first years of the War of Northern Aggression. Better You than me.

a wealthy billionaire dies, and his final wish is to be buried with his money. so, at the funeral reception, the widow is speaking with quests when the matter of the billionaire's last wish comes up. The widow confirms that she honored her late husband's request. A friend says to the widow, " you really buried him with billions of dollars?!!", and the widow replies, "of course, I wrote him a check".Lol
