Ashley Parker Angel Talks About O-Town Drama For The First Time | #117

Former O-Town frontman Ashley Parker Angel stopped by the "Hollywood Raw Podcast with Dax Holt and Adam Glyn" to talk about his days with the boy band and what really went down with his departure. Angel even went into detail about how one of his closest bandmates went on the warpath against him, admitting this was the first time he's ever talked about the issues publicly. He also spoke about a recent meet-up with the guys and if will lead to a reunion. Beyond the music, Ashley has made a name for himself in the health and fitness industry helping people get fit both mentally and physically -- Angel recently released his new app which you can find at AshleyParkerAngel.app. This goes down as one of our favorite interviews to date.

I love all 5 guys in Otown, Ashley was always such a sweet positive guy, but my favorite was Jacob (who was a genius! ) the drama between them sounds like regular brotherly drama, I think he just needs to sit down and have a conversation with whoever it is, because this doesn't sound like that big of a deal. Otown 4 life! 💕

I feel like out of all the guys, Trevor is the only one to not make fun of Ashley or say anything negative. I respect him so much for that. It’s annoying how every interviewer brings up Ashley like oh why is he always shirtless on instagram. Like let this man live his life. He’s so humble and sweet. Always love Ashley.

There is real competition between band members. It's common. When one walks away for better opportunities, the rest of the band becomes bitter. Who gaf if he didn't want to return. There is nothing wrong with guys like him, JT, Styles, Zayn etc, who didn't want their whole lives centered around a boyband. It works for BSB & NKOTB because they are okay with that life(although one can argue that members of those bands tried to make it solo too). I've never understood the mentality that members have to commit indefinitely.

When you sign to do shows/appearances people are paying and expecting 5 members and when that doesn't happen your fee goes down or people passs on your group and you have to start over. I do think they should just get another blonde and keep it moving bu twho knows.

Again, when did the guys say that Ashley was the "corny member" of the band? Or "Just the face"? See this is what I personally don't like, when people lie or twist other people's words smh. I've seen almost every interview that the guys did since 2014, if not every single one of them, and I Do Not Remember Any of the guys - Erik, Trevor, Dan or Jacob, saying anything Vicious or bad about Ashley!! What Ashley is saying is his own personal interpretation of something the guys may have said, I don't know!! And I am not just talking, I've spent a lot of time with the guys at their VIPs, their shows, and even a few non-OTown events over the last 8 years and they are Not mean guys!! They are very cool, nice guys, and very positive; I've seen this first hand!!

Of course they’re not mean guys… they were with and around fans. Around fans, and home with their families and friends, is another. Seeing them in concert is different from being in the studio and having to work with them. So you can’t really base them not being petty and being mean guys when you’re a fan. They are always gonna be nice and sweet when they are. But then when they walk away, it can be totally different.

I've watched almost every interview they've done and they never said anything disrespectful about Ashley in any of their interviews!! As far as what happened behind closed doors, I don't know anything about that and don't really care because it's none of my business!! If Ashley felt some type of way about Erik or any of the guys, he should have went to them and spoken about it privately to them and they could've squashed it!! They were just all together at Ryan's wedding prior to him doing this interview and they all looked happy in the pic that they took. Now he's doing an interview talking crap about them? It’s obvious there’s issues, and one of them makes it obvious. He’s hurt but so is Ashley. I hope they can fix it.

To say they’ve never said it was baffling to me. If Ashley feels they’ve said things that were hurtful, then I think they should take responsibility and apologize. Ashley’s not pulling this out of nowhere, even I’ve been confused as to why when his name is mentioned there’s weird gestures and comments because he never acts like that towards them.

What the guys said was, "Because Ashley was considered the Face of the group, they asked themselves if they could do the Reunion without him". Ashley is trying to make it a bad thing and the guys didn't mean it in a negative way. I've seen all of their interviews since their 2014 reunion and none of the guys never said anything offensive or mean about Ashley in their interviews; they have no reason to!! The only time they really say Anything about him is when they are specifically asked about him!! Ashley is Not a threat to them; the guys are doing their thing and Ashley is doing his!!

I think he’s either talking about Erik or Jacob. I don’t think it was vicious attacks but I do feel like I understand where Ashley is coming from. I remember either Erik or Jacob saying in an interview that Ashley was like the face of the group or he was the pretty one in the group. I do feel like there was some digs thrown Ashley’s way because he didn’t comeback for the reunion. I feel like some of the others guys thought it would of been more of a success if Ashley would of joined them. There might of been some hard feelings towards Ashley. And I think some of the other guys might hold grudges towards Ashley because he ended up going solo. I think a lot of people look at Ashley as the reason the band broke up. You can see Trevor said they’re not friends with Ashley like they’re with each other. It’s like Ashley is an acquaintance to them. If someone said I was the pretty one in the group it would feel like they were saying I was in the group more for my looks than my talent. So I can understand were Ashley is coming from. It’s an unfortunate situation because Ashley had his own dreams. He’s not a bad person for wanting to pursue his dreams. It’s like how a lot of people blame Justin Timberlake for *NSYNC breaking up. Justin was just following his dreams. Michael Jackson left the Jackson 5 to pursue his dreams too. When OTown got back together it was just bad timing for Ashley. So, once again you look like the bad guy for not joining them. It would be awesome to see all 5 of them together again one day. I hope they can all work things out and be friends again. 😊

Eric didn’t say anything when you guys asked him. Jacob and Trevor did, period. #nkotb were real friends from Grammar school and that is why they are all still together. They weren’t brought together, they were all already friends since there were ages 5-7. I truly believe that’s why Nkotb still has the real 🔥. I think he’s talking about Erik. I think Erik is very good friends with his son’s mother. Erik used to date Kirsten Storms who’s brother was married to Ashley’s baby momma.
