I met Billy Bob Thornton in 2000, on the set of Bandits, along with Bruce Willis as well. Bruce was plenty polite and shook hands with many fans. Billy Bob, on the other hand, set the standard. He came out with stacks of autographs, pre-signed. He stayed and talked with all of us. He was married to Angelina Jolie at the time and put up with all the stupid questions. I realize that perhaps he comes off as a bit eccentric, but I've always felt like that's a bit of an act. He's practically Mr. Rogers when he's interacting with fans. Unforgettable.

grayforester exactly! Films that are cerebral, require paying attention, or take uncomfortable viewpoints are attacked as boring, confusing, too political or not escapist. When I hear those attacks I see those people as saying , they don’t have the attention span, or the desire to examine difficult topics. The problem is that’s the majority of any society. Simple mindless fluff will always garner more attention than thoughtful artistic brilliance. Queue the emotional responses

This was a great round table: A wonderful and diverse mix of actors, all handled suburbly by Lacey. @@fubliani1882 100%. Her constant need to be vocal takes away from the interview, but it was six years ago so hopefully she's had some growth since then. I think that's a lot of why he got cast in The World According To Garp; he's much too big to rock a knee length ensemble.

Billy is a fantastic actor. His thoughts on performance and acting I couldn't possibly disagree more, but it is fascinating how many processes there are to get to the character.

I just came back to this again. Great roundtable conversation. Billy Bob Thornton's the most interesting, haven't followed his work much so wasn't expecting much but his insights and history were fascinating.

I think this is one of the best Actor’s Roundtables because these Actors kind of ignore her and have a conversation amongst themselves. And Billy Bob Thornton is so chill and real.

WHY DONT THEY TRY A MUSICIAN ROUNDTABLE? like heavy meatal, or hiphop artist. would be interesting to hear them converse.

The hosts interviewing technique is so much better than the other guy, she actually acknowledges what the actors are saying and segways properly between topics, rather than just randomly skipping through topics

I don't know why, but a few people keep mixing up Josh Holloway (the actor who played Sawyer in Lost) with Stephen Galloway (the dude who used to do these roundtables). It is hilarious to me and I hope it keeps happening

This was one of the beat rountables i've seen I'm a big fan of everyone at the table i love This is us i watched The night of in 2 days and Riz's scenes were the highlight of the show it took me about 20min to figure it out Mcgregor played both brothers in Fargo he was that good and Billy Bob was just terrifiyng on hes season of Fargo but i have to admit Lithgow is one of a kind even amongs them i mean let's talk about hes range he is brilliand in 3rd rock from the sun but also he is the scariest serial killer since Hopkins in Silence of the lambs

Y'all complaining about poor Lacey Rose and her "ahem" and "suuuuuure"s, but do you REALLY want fuckin' Holloway back??!!! ¬¬ No, sir. At least Lacey seems to be LISTENING and not interrupting. Let's get one thing straight: all moderators HAVE TO interrupt at some point, otherwise, one person can speak for hours at a time and divert from the main subject/question and chaos would ensue. It's all in the way and timing of said interruption. And, guess what? Lacey KNOWS how and when to interrupt somebody. So, no, I'll take her "ahem"s ANY FUCKIN' DAY of the week over that creep Holloway. #LeaveLaceyAlone #JusticeForLacey
