Maybe, but the questions Lacey asks are so bland-- I personally compare Lacey's question with that of Stacey Wilson's question and Lacey's are so simplistic in comparison. Wilson is so much better at building off the questions that she poses and the question that come up from the people being interviewed-- Wilson is also good at giving each interviewee enough time and makes sure to give them time to speak. Lacey just keeps asking them what they've would have wanted to be in they weren't actors/producers/directors. Wilson is also very gifted at pivoting the conversation to more important and/or interesting topics.

I'm not sure I get what "genre" entails with these people, but it's still a great interview per usual.
@qt40906 жыл бұрын
The multiple "genres" they are referring to are science-fiction, comedy, horror and fantasy. In film culture, all of those "sub-genres" get lumped into the title of "genre film" because they stray from the traditional dramatic and realistic narrative. This all stems from "genre film" being looked down upon by Hollywood elitists many decades ago. Lately, the term has no negative connotation and is just used to distinguish between the realistic and the fantastical.

Rumor has it that Disney is scrapping it completely. The thing already finished principal photography, so take this rumor with a grain. tbh, I wouldn't really care if they did, since you cannot possibly do Dark Phoenix justice within 1 movie. That has to build for a while. I would rather that Disney let Netflix do a 13 hour mini series.

Wasnt a fan of JJ season 2. And I absolutely loved Season 1. I think it was the lack of a true villain. The two Netflix series that lacks one are Iron Fist and JJ season 2 and they are the worst of the bunch. And if you are going to do something like that you need to make one of those villains good enough to be able to. Luke Cage season 2 for example with Bushmaster

His lack of understanding social media is shown by his opinion on the thumbs up thumbs down situation. He seems to assume that people only vote when it is negative. Untrue. People love and like comments about what they actually love and sometimes those things are positive. Many times those things are positive IF your group isn't so biased or so angry/bitter or whatever that they can go back and forth about real points instead of name calling and cursing. The downside is group think. Even if you say something factual and you're in a crowd where you are the minority the majority can thumbs up those with similar bitter opinions all day long and give no love to your fact. It does not make things nicer. It just won't let you know if people disagree as well as agreeing. You just get love/likes or crickets. It can leave people thinking that they are universally correct when in fact it may be 50/50 or worse or people think that others didn't see their post when it is really hated by all but no one can tell them with a quick click.

Great talk Please stop turning every roundtable discussion to "pay gap" and "minority" and "women empowerment". I would love if all these creative people were asked about their creativity and work instead of these issues. Almost everyone will have the same opinion when you ask them if there is a pay gap, and if there is something to be done. Newer and better discussions will come up if you push them to talk about their processes or their motivations to work.
