Great cinematographers, but a terrible format. In the old format, the cinematographers could really bounce off each other and offer some depth. Now it’s just boring questions with what feel like highly edited, sound bite answers. Let these legends actually talk for a while!

I agree sooooo much I’m so bummed about this choice. I think it’s fine that the majority of the videos are more like newspaper headlines, but these round tables are so sacred, that’s the closest you get to behind the scenes like dvd special features. Super bummed, and sad, and bummed, and sad.

Blows me away that No Country for Old Men and There Will Be Blood were filming at the same time only a few miles apart. TWBB won the Oscar but Roger probably would've have won had he not split the vote with The Assassination of Jesse James.

Bob makes an important point of focussing through the eyepiece rather than the monitor. I think that a lot of filmmakers today are just seeing it on the monitor and that's why the quality of the acting has gone down as compared to like a decade ago. The tools may get fancy but one should not lose sight of the main target.
