Some of the comments that were made on this episode makes me think you guys need a fully black cohost. Melissa said two things this interview that were very concerning: the pretty light skinned girls from Germany comment; and the comment about how she notices her "whiteness" in the way she speaks. It is possible that among the people she surrounds herself with, she is often the smartest person in the room and unfortunately she may attribute that to the part of her that is white; however I went to one of the highest ranked universities in North America and some of the most intelligent and well spoken people I met were from the continent of Africa. I wish someone in the room challenged or asked her to clarify that comment and if you had an interviewer that identifies as being fully black, I believe they would have challenged.

Great interview! I do want to say, though I get what Melissa was saying about seeing herself in her mom, well duh don't we all see a piece of us in our parents. The hosts all seem pretty self absorbed. I think Melyssa didn't see much of her dad growing up (I read an article about her years ago as a teenaged school kid). In the article she stated she hated her curves growing up and cried at night because of how her bum was shaped, we know thats not the case now... I just think it took her a long time to embrace her true identity, when mixed people grow up in predominantly white environments they will do anything to prove they are half like them, which creates a complex later in life and the delusional idea that they aren't 'black', they didn't have any black people close to them to tell them guess what, to us and the world you're black and there is nothing wrong with that! Your husband just doesn’t come home for over a year and live with an ex unless you the side chick (wife or whatever). Real wives have a husband at home, not at a home with another woman. Amina is so annoying! Just because Tara was a side girl, it was ok for you to do it? That;s whats wrong with people now, worry about yourself. Regardless of the situation there are children out there spread across the US because Peter is a clown! As far as the show, it goes back and forth with me. sometimes i feel like they are gaining some experience and momentum, but then shows like this shows that they need more training.
