Anne Frank: Her World and Her Diary

Anne Frank was one of six million Jewish victims murdered during the Holocaust. Anne's diary, written during her two years in hiding with her family in Amsterdam, remains one of the world's most widely read works of nonfiction. This short film places Anne Frank’s life and words within the wider historical context of the Holocaust.
The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum designed it for classroom use.

Still trying to find something that can fill that emptiness in your heart. You can't find that in this world.. only in Christ, the bible is no chains, it's a chainbreaker. There were many factors why it was difficult to emigrate. The Great Depression was one of those factors. A strict quota was also in place; those considered as WASP (white Anglo-Saxon Protestant) were more valued as immigrants.

Keep in mind, they did not fathom anything like a death factory. During ww1 president Woodrow Wilson had German American under surveillance. That is not to say prejudice did not exist, but that wasn't the main cause.

​@@bigCyril 1. Her diary was written using a fountain pen, not a ballpoint pen 2. The ballpoint pen was first invented in the late 1880s. Lazlo Biro patented his version of the ballpoint pen in 1938.
