Thanks for the amazing tut! There's some alternative way to create the material? Cuz my C4D is an old version and i dont have the "universal material" option available.. :(
@NojsGraphics2 жыл бұрын
c4d version doesnt really matter, but octane does, just update it, and you should have it!
@sean.sullivan11 ай бұрын
I make a universal octane material, set the albedo to black, turn the IOR to specular and then white but it's not clear or transparent. Plus I don't have this composite texture in my octane.. what version did you use for this project?
@NojsGraphics11 ай бұрын
Hey! It was latest version at that time, just update to latest and you should have composite texture. as for transparent look: Material Type: Universal Albedo: Fully black color IOR: Fully black color Transmission type: Specular and Fully white color Common: Fakes shadows turned on Rest of the tutorial covers emission itself.

Hey, thank you so much for a quick reply.. I've just been in version hell trying to get a version on one of my machines that will work. lol. Can't update my iMac any higher (frankly don't want to) so that's the highest Octane I can get. Seems there's still infinite problems with octane and the silicon Macs, so now dusting off the pc laptop once again. It shouldn't be this hard to get these softwares to work!! compatibility is a major mess right now! @@NojsGraphics

finally got it!! and got a newer version of octane. thank you for the great (but fast) tutorial!! @@NojsGraphics

Hi, In the first steps - Albedo to black, IOR 1 and Transmission to white, it doesn't turn transparent. I have tried a couple of times, I will continue to play with the Opacity but any tips would be helpful, thanks!
@NojsGraphics2 жыл бұрын
Hey! So i run small test with connecting Composite Texture to Opacity instead of Texture Emission and result is similar, in my case i had to cranked up power from 15 to around 500-600 to compensate glow power, it will looks fairly similar, but any color info (orginal texture of model or kaleidoscope i used) you need to still apply it to texture emission Texture.

Hii Bro , can you plz make a hologram tutorial for after effects(element 3D) or how can we import this hologram in after effects
@NojsGraphics Жыл бұрын
Sorry i dont use Element 3D in after effects, and depend on what you mean by importing i might be able to do tutorial about it, cuz definitly we can render it out and export scene camera etc. to further composite it with other footage in AE.

I know, i get really anxious when I talk for recordings, especially in english language, that’s why I’m currently on voice emission trainings and soon singing lessons, to overcome my issues with it. Especially singing is something I literally can’t do when I’m around people, so if I learn it I should be able to speak way better for sure and I will definitely be more calm and better to listen to! But bare with me, cuz that progress will take a bit of time haha.

I cant find composite texture. I have just composite material. Where is it?
@NojsGraphics2 жыл бұрын
Hey! whats your version of Octane? It should be located in utilities section(Utl / Light blue color nodes) in Octane Node Editor.
@seoo35862 жыл бұрын
Version is PR13! mac os ver.
@NojsGraphics2 жыл бұрын
@@seoo3586 oooh! I dont have mac and i know some features are implemented in diffrent time, it might not yet be in this version, you can instead use nodes like: add, multiply, subtract and mix, but i dont think there is node that would replicate "color" or "overlay" blending mode in Octane, i would have to do some searching.

Great video man . Thnx for it . I want to ask a question. I don't have a custom pattern section in my octane node editor. I checked my octane update and it's the last update . Is it third party or something ?
@NojsGraphics2 жыл бұрын
Hey, it's common bug, just close node editor and open it again, it should appear! Works for me everytime.
