The funniest punchline of the entire affair is Towa saying the ring Laplus spent all her wages to buy was no match for their average income. While pretty much all the police played at the casino on the taxpayer's dime, the gang was essentially unchecked in helping themselves to the public's funds.

The problem really was that for the police to effectively prevent robberies would have meant hours of sitting around doing nothing. That kind of Police work is incredibly dull. There is a reason beat cops have a reputation for being fat and eating donuts all day. They tried for a while on day 4 and it resulted in several of the officers literally doing nothing but driving backwards and forwards between convenience stores for several hours. The police pretty much decided to have fun instead of taking things too seriously, and the whole event was probably better off for it. I mean, if you are watching hologta for the high quality police vs gang simulation, you’ve gone seriously wrong somewhere.
