While this vowel sound that's represented by the letter a in Japanese does exist in English, it's not really represented by the letter a as well, but rather the letters u or o (e.g love or run, and even then not in all accents). In short: the letter a represents a different sound in Japanese than it does in English. So that's why you can come across this englishified pronunciation sometimes, with people who have never heard of manga or heard the word pronounced by a native speaker. Why Amelia said it like that may be force of habit.

It's pretty interesting watching all of them evolve, even though it's been, like, barely two months. Ina is still the epitome of comfy, those HL2 streams are insanely entertaining. Didn't really like Kiara from the beginning, but she turned out to be much more relatable and interesting. Ame is just Ame, your insane hiccuping detective/technician of the group, probably the most insane one out of the bunch. Gura is doing pretty well, I think a lot of people were afraid that her explosive growth would lead to her being unnerved about it, at the very least. And Calli, oh dear god if Calli isn't the epitome of a pure money magnet. Yagoo was right to include one more Marine-esque kind of person that looks a bit older than your basic idol bunch. She wasn't streaming for like two weeks in a row, still remains second fastest growing one of the entire Hololive EN, and her donations are always full of red. Fucking red all the time, i swear. And the fact that she acts like just another one of our real life folks with three jobs and no sleep and no time for yourself is what makes her so god damn relatable. Also all of the introductions are a fucking fire, go watch them now.
