Not sure for the non JP Hololive, but they (CAPCOM?) didn't give the permission to stream Village with the English dub. Most Hololive JP members actually use the English dub when playing 7. Pekora simply wrote in her Village stream description that she haven't got permission for English voice.

She even polled if they want to stream it early but in Japanese dub or wait like weeks to be able to play it in English dub. Also, Indie vtubers and anyone not under a large company doesn't have that kind of liability behind them like Hololive does, that is why they can stream whatever they want without restriction. That's just how corporate works.

The moment you think you're in control, Heisenberg's already coming up with ways to get rid of you after everything's said and done.

There is no optimal choice just hoping things work out for you in this momentary decision. This guy wants revenge, not to save your daughter but to use her, his plan would have involved "enslaving" her power to beat mother Miranda and who knows how that might progress. Realistically, if Ethan was a cunning, ultra-calculative strategist, yes, that would be "pragmatic"-- but he isn't--he is just a father who desperately wants to see his daughter safe, driven by emotion and vendetta. Logically (if all goes to plan and he doesn't end up getting a hold of rose in the meantime while you somehow grill this man for info (he'd probably tell you just enough but not everything, potentially lie) what you just said; Realistically, to who he is as a character, what ethan just did.

And even if Heisenberg did win against Miranda using Rose, whose to say he wouldn't aim for something bigger? SInce the only reason who couldn't leave the Village in the first place was Miranda. Plus, we getting RE9 with Rose as the MC, never would've happened if Heisenberg succeeded

When he takes the heisenberg route, they beat Miranda, rose dies most likely (defeating the whole POINT of ethan being here), and Heisenberg takes Ethan as part of his sick body horror experiments (there is literally a note where Heisenberg notes that Ethan “has a pretty interesting body”, and given the shit we found throughout the whole fucking factory…) There is literally no world in which Ethan siding with Heisenberg was the right thing to do.

ethan will still have to battle heisenberg right after miranda since he will be consumed by the power of cadou. or during resurrection ceremony, battle between ethan and heisenberg (with his armies of wolverines and mutated machines) vs miranda rises, then miranda defeats heisenberg, then ethan defeats miranda afterwards. then proceeds to the same ending as the original story. the difference is just the battle scene will be more epic.

@@jacksoncross8656 ethan is already dead from RE7. the old dude murdered him after ethan killed mia with an axe. he then became a living mold. that's why he won't die even after receiving those smacking from the baker's family. it was explained after ethan was killed by miranda in RE8. i think they should've put an option for ethan to join heisenberg here. a battle between ethan, heisenberg, and his mutated army vs miranda would be epic. then, heisenberg will be killed by miranda by the difference of their powers then ethan kills miranda, or he will be killed by ethan right after they killed miranda since the cadou inside heisenberg will consume him. but imo, for the series to align, the game should stick to the same ending where ethan stayed in the island, not unlike RE7's 2nd ending where he chose to cure zoe, the series would stop there since mia's dead and wouldn't align with RE8's story.

I'm more surprised to see less people supporting Ethan's decision to stick to his guns. Any good father would *not* appreciate their child being kidnapped, dismembered, and treated like an object, why would he want to work with the guy complicit in all of that? Let alone someone like Heisenberg, who, charismatic personality and hilarious lines aside, is a total sadistic psychopath and a hypocrite who laments his own suffering under Miranda's rule despite torturing the very same vilagers facing the same fate. Even if Ethan tried to be pragmatic and maybe plan to backstab Heisenberg later, there's such an incredibly high risk of Rose being kidnapped by Heisenberg anyway that taking a chance to kill all the bad guys himself was, in the end, a far more reasonable option. Ain't no way Ethan has a backup plan to double-cross Heisenberg that would work, might as well face him head-on.

I'll never understand the mindset that the onus was somehow on Ethan to play along with Heisenberg in that scene. Shoulda been the other way around, but that's the villainous flaw in Heisenberg as a character, he's too blinded by mindless arrogance to know his place or what he's doing. Heisenberg revealed his shortcomings when he actually dropped Ethan even after seeing his resolve directly.
