This is the reason most holo talent won't play/stream mmorpgs even though they have the perms. IIRC, when pekora first streamed ffxiv the mods banned almost half the server. It embarrassed the bunny so much she wouldn't go back as herself for a while.

This is why I typically don't watch MMO streams, I feel weirdly bothered when the streamers are unable to have a good time in the game due to being crowded by viewers. This is also a bit of a personal peeve of mine, but I dislike when people mass trade request a streamer and give them a shit ton of free stuff, especially in something like OSRS which basically IS a grinding game.

Frustrated with not being able to find each other? Stream prep you can hide other people with entity hider plugin in Runelite client through. There's maybe 100-200 worlds available and takes 5 seconds to hop so avoiding crowds is impossible. Nerissa had already streamed osrs for 20 hours, she was probably annoyed she couldn't do more to help her genmates who are newer to the game

I think she would have fun if she was given time to process everything. If you watch the stream, there were a lot of moments where she had fun just getting distracted, and I think that's the type of mentality that lets someone pick up Runescape. Unfortunately its not so chill when everyone is able to follow them everywhere, and they have to run around as to not get overwhelmed lol. Its the same issue with every big streamer when they pick up Runescape again, everyone crowds around them. If there was a streamer world or something, it would be pretty good not just for Hololive girls but for future streamers to actually experience the game better. I don't know how much resources it would take to pool a singular extra server, but it would be a nice QoL for content creators.

I get it mobbing can suck but a dedicated world just for a few people at a time (if I’m the RuneScape team) 100% doesn’t make financial sense.

A lot of what puts off streamers is the fact they get immediately crowded and traded to, etc etc before they even get the sense of the controls and gameplay. And as much as some folks don’t see the value in that, there’s a lot of influence in getting streamers that consistently have 5k+ viewers, especially if they end up enjoying the game, which again is unlikely if they get mobbed before they even try. It’s not like they’re going to be confined into that one world, its the fact they can choose to be alone or go out into a public world. Games typically PAY for this kind of exposure, and here they have the opportunity to get it in abundance. They just need to weigh how much they would pay to sponsor streamers against how much it costs to provide a single world.

I just took a look on Twitch, and only a single person streaming had over 1k viewers, and most had sub 50. My point is you’d be dedicating an entire server for like 20 people max at a time, assuming all the “major” streamers were streaming at the same time. The idea isn’t a bad idea, that’s not why I said it’s not worth it, it’s that it just doesn’t have the streamer size or quantity to be worth it. Sure Advent might pull a massive crowd, but they’re not streaming it every day, they’re variety streamers. So again, you’re suggesting an entire server, for streamers who only stream it once in awhile, because all the actual RS streamers are already well accustomed. That’s why it’s not really a “good investment” because you have to run the numbers to see how many ACTUAL new players in brings. A few Hololive fans start a membership? Dope, but you’d need enough to warrant hosting an ENTIRE server that is effectively empty. Neither of us has access to the numbers to truly say whether it would be worth it or not, but just looking purely at what’s available if I was a higher up at Jagex I wouldn’t consider that until I’ve got enough streamers streaming it every day who pull the crowds Advent did.

If they used Runelite, an officially approved open source client you can literally disable almost all interactions with people if you want (like hide everyone except your friends). Maybe they're only using the official client for security reasons. Some of the frustration was just not knowing the game as it's maybe not very intuitive considering it's original age

Snipers were being specially abnoxious this stream, even when they ask seriously for some space they kept on getting swarmed. You contrast this to HoloJP mmo streams (except for pekora or miko) and its embarrassing as a "Kaigai niki".

@@irvancrocs1753 I already stated that. tho, it's quite different if you watch other JP streamers outside of the 2 I mentioned (JPbros were mostly blaming overseas bros in Pekora's case, althoght I doubt all of them were from overseas), a typical Japanese behaviour on streams is for example to sit on a side while the streamer does their intro. While overseas is more common to be greated by a viewer jumping on top of you no matter your size.

Yeah, i still hope they maken new accs, blur their names out and make it a KZbin series (offline) rather than whatever these streams are. Its fun for a little bit but then it just becomes old and pointless to play osrs with just annoying fans around. I truly think Advent playing as a group the game offline on secret accs will give them much more fun from this game and experience the game as it should be.

Advent being annoyed of stalkers is completely understandable but them getting really pissed off would be a bit unreasonable. All of Advent have over hundreds upon THOUSANDS of fans, they at least should've expected some sort of chaos. Plus it didn't help that they were all live streaming a massive online MMORPG. If they don't want something like this happening again, they just shouldn't play it tbh. I still feel a little bad for them but come on
