@@lucastonoli3256 yes, Steiner for one did it. The big difference was the milspec version was like 15k, the civilian version is 8k and this 2.3k you know that right? That is a big difference and this is way smaller, lighter.

@@UncleDanBand64 It's smaller in objective lens size too, which limits the range of detection severely. Also, Steiner is not the only one, you can get a superb thermal hybrid optic for $3,800-4,000, some of the best there is.

​@@UncleDanBand64 The IRay HYH50W makes more sense for thermal, you really can't do much up close relying on a 50hz refresh rate. Even aiming while moving can be confusing. Some range and magnification is a better approach. That one can be found for a variety of prices, Infiray official website is oddly expensive, but they usually go for 4-4.5k. The "CQB" optic of Infiray is the FAL19, which can be had for $3.700 or so.

I will 1000% own one or two of those thermal red dots. What a bargain compared to what it costs to get other ones that are on the market. They’re just putting other manufacturers to shame with stuff like that.

I would be curious about what the resolution is on those. There have been a few red dot profile thermals on the market but they were all using super low res sensors (like 80x60 or 206x156) they were barely usable

@@death31313 True. But considering the NV/thermal is simply an overlay, it may not be a huge deal. I could guess that it probably isn’t exactly 1080p though as it is a compact thermal.

The holosun night vision optic I think would be the most ideal and advantage based optic for a bedside PCC and that’s where it will shine for home defense.

68 yards of max range, low refresh rate, and high latency. Walking around the house while looking through this thing will have you tripping over stuff. Just buy a flashlight or get nods.

I have both the EPS and EPS Carry both MRS. EPS is on full size with plate, EPS carry directly mounted to p365XL. Perfect fits. I wouldn’t recommend the carry on a NON micro pistol. Don’t cheat yourself on the window for full sized guns. The carry is perfect for micro compacts though.

Thermal red dot is cool but i don't see myself using one. I can see LEO and the military using this though. Would be a great addition for the cqc door kickers. If they did it with a LPVO scope, I'd definitely buy one.

If I’m reading two articles correctly, the Deltapoint Pro footprint is the same as the Shield RMSC, which makes me really happy about the SCS 320. I have two Bul Armory SAS II Ultralight with this for print.

Another video I watched earlier tonight mentioned 8x digital zoom on the nvg&thermal holos.. if that's ONLY 8x that's bad.. will they have 1x, 4x, 8x or is the 8x I heard earlier a range of digital zoom not just 1 and 8?

With the size of the screen and resolution, going above 2-3 x is an awful idea anyway. For range with themal you want analogic zoom.

don't get me wrong, these new optics are really cool. But they DO still have a slight processing delay from effectively being highly optimized digital cameras. Yes, the images that they project are transparent when the lens caps are flipped down, so with proper "both eyes open" technique you'll probably be able to compensate with help from your non-dominant eye. But my point still stands. There's still noticeable lag.

Holosun is in honey badger mode. They dont just raise the bar, they take the bar and just take off running and havent even thought about slowing down. They cold stop making new $hit and it would still be 5 years before they had any competition. Meanwhile eotec still has like a 8 hour battery life like its 1992. I will get that thermal if it can be found in the wild. I’m still waiting on my eps carry to come off back order.

I keep TRYING to look this stuff up on the Holosun WEBSITE, but apparently Holosun's server is running on a 56kbps dial up modem. The website cannot even LOAD and I have been trying for TWO WEEKS. Holosun has lost some of my business because their website SUCKS.

I hate how they keep changing the footprints of similar optics. So if you have a RMR slide, and they come put with an optic with the same job. But now it's a doctor footprint.

Not sure what you mean? The SCS320 is DPP footprint which is Delta Point pro. All of holosuns optics are RMR, DPP and RMSc for subcompacts. Those are the three most popular footprints used by Glock, Sig, Staccato on their full-size and compact guns.

The RMR cut isn't compatible with enclosed optics since the mounting screws are too far forward. Yes, that cut has been the standard, but that was also in a time before enclosed emitters were a thing
