When the EN server first opened, I was bummed they didn't play on the JP one instead but now I see it was for the best. Then again, I never thought they'd merge like this.

For me personally, I had never played Minecraft or known anything really about the game when HoloMyth first started, and they were also the first girls who introduced me to vtubers. Watching them play Minecraft for the first time on their own server for the ground up is what taught me about the game, as I basically learned along with them. I became more and more interested in the game because of them, and now I'm addicted to Minecraft, lol. Not to mention, their Minecraft streams are always my favorites, and I've successfully managed to watch every single HoloEN Minecraft stream in full since the beginning (if not live then at least through the VODs). So I know for me personally, if they had started out in the JP server, I probably wouldn't have tuned into their Minecraft streams, wouldn't have bought and started playing Minecraft myself, and probably wouldn't even be as big of a fan of HoloEN or vtubers in general.

EN server started out pretty slow since there weren't a lot of members but the arrival of IRyS, the coucil now and the Haachama/ID invasion a while back and now the server merge are the biggest reasons it developed so much in such a short time

I think easily over 80% of the builds on the EN server were done in the past 2 months. The other 20% were done in the first two months (Sept-Oct 2020). There was virtually no real progress in-between.
