Brian Obuya, how can the SDA church discourage discourage education and still have one of the best private universities in Kenya, why should the church invest in media and still discourage members from watching tv and listen to the radio, it is true that there are some radical teachings from groups that claim to be sda members but this doesnt represent the beliefs of the church, what the church believes in is summarised in the seventh day adventist fundamental beliefs which you should have gone through.

Just like you won't question Kenya as a country when one kenyan or a group of Kenyans goes against the Kenyan constitution, is the same way you won't attach the entire church because of one family that has a problem. It's prudent and professional to judge the church based on the document that guides the church and not the individual case of one member as this does not represent the true position of the church. I have seen the church discouraging members from joining groups that have this strange teachings and even dissosiating with them.

For those saying these are only family matters and don't involve church, extremism and radicalisation in churches, (any church, not only SDA), has everything to do with families, very directly. That is a truth we SDA's shouldn't bury our heads in the sand about. However, I don't know which kind of extremism or that of which church influenced that particular family, but what I know and have witnessed first hand is that extremism is very real and happens a lot in our church (SDA). A head of department absconding duty. How did he know? The girl is in form one, can speak, never bothered to reach out to her. Then the midnight call? Midamba reported the matter to the children. He can't show us that he visited the children department to verify. Didn't get time to interview Pr. Kesis? When was Kesis a chaplain in Baraton? The guy just went to KZbin The Ranen pastor not given even much time. Serious research was needed. I have watched and rewatched this and did not see the offshoot or members congregating. Did he establish that the lady was an Adventist? Where was she fellowshipping before, how about her membership? Serious concerns about the offshoots yes, but poorly done

Nobody refutes there are splinter groups in the SDA church. Those are new and independent churches that should be treated as such. Just because they worship on Saturday does not mean they are part of the "Original SDA" How many "churches" worship on Sunday? When one sunday church has wrong and deceiving doctrines do we also conclude that all Sunday churches follow the same? But i have to give it to Obuya. How did you expect the documentary to sale? Very shallow and poor Investigations. Include all the parties involved. Find out the truth about the religion, if it is there, and who is running it. Interogate wife and kids. Obuya brian, you and some of the content creators you fall in the same whatzup group. Ntv is a brand, get your research correct. SDA dont wear long clothing, SDA dont skip meals, SDA seek proper medical services whenever they fall sick, otherwise SDAs have very good hospitals, SDAs take their kids to school furthermore they have good performing school. Brian Obuya did extremely shoddy investigations and only ended up drawing wrong conclusions which hardly reflect the Seventh Adventist Church. Apart from Engineer Tom Midamba that he interviewed, who has categorically said that the cult is not the Seventh Day Adventist church he grew in and still worships, who else did he interview to make him end with disparaging assumptions about the church? I have always believed in Brian's reporting, but he is proving otherwise that he is a quack masquerading as a professional journalist!
