Holy SHIT! No more excuses. I have to say, for the record, I felt he got WAY too much hype for a HEAD coaching spot. But as a RB coach, there are FEW that are better out there! We hate on Mike Martz, but on PAPER, Lovie's staffs have been top quality and when he brought in Martz, it was considered a STAR studded staff at the time. 2010 staff included: Offensive Coordinator: Mike Martz Defensive Coordinator: Rod Marinelli Other Notable Asst.: Bob Babich (Linebackers), Chris Tabor (Asst. The team is now a place where future HoF coaches are interested in going, even if it's a level (or two, in this case) below what they are actually qualified for. 😮😎 This HAS to be the most former HC/AC talent that Da Bears have had on staff in a long, long time. I believe that a solid coaching staff is the true foundation of a DYNASTY team. There are real discussions about whether we are about to see the beginning of a whole new coaching tree. Good coaching draws good player prospects, which sets up WINS! 🤩 This whole cascade of top-notch coaching is definitely an ultra combo move by Poles & Co. to stand by his declaration to take the North and never give it back. I'm so excited about this staff now, I might have to take back all of the stuff I said about Poles. I think Poles has decided that if he's going down it's going to be swinging. I'm glad Warren and Poles put as much pressure on George to let Johnson put a serious staff together. Some of the players are not going to like the change but these coaches are pretty serious individuals.

I have been watching this team for 40 years. It is not hard for me to be excited. Why? The reason is because they’re doing things completely different than they’ve ever had. We’ve often been let down because we clung onto false hope. Coaching staff, consisting of people, we never even heard of. Bears hired head coaches that nobody else would have hired. Bears once again offseason champs (our own version of a three peat) 😅😂 - Let’s not sleep on Lovie Smith as a HC for Chicago (2004-12) historically during his 9 year tenure here 81-63 record in the regular season (3-3 in the playoffs for Bears, including the SB) 2005 AP Coach of the Year 3 NFCN division titles (2005, 2006, & 2010) 2 Conference Championship appearances (2006 W & 2010 L) 1 Super Bowl appearance (SBXLI after 2006 season) Only three losing seasons (2004, 2007, & 2009) - That all said, I do hope and expect more / better from Ben Johnson and his new coaching staff

For the coaches that are on paper looks very skilled but until we can see it transform to the field then I’ll be happier then a pig in shit. We had multiple playmakers on this team and on paper but look what took place this year. I don’t think any Bears fan ever thought we would’ve witnessed what took place with the players we had on paper. No one had us at a record that took place. So the Bears are keeping the Special Teams Coordinator an the Tight Ends Coach. Help me understand why. On Special teams they had numerous breakdowns through out the season... I am thinking of the blocked kicks. For the Tight Ends all I recall is they disappeared and in games were non factors in receiving and blocking.What am I missing?

Buddy Ryan was a rival that was deeply upset he wasn’t made HC and had major friction with Ditka especially in the championship 1985 team. Ditka held it all together which is amazing considering his feud with Ryan and Jim McMahon’s antics and physical fragility.

How does everyone work together? This kind of a staff could be harder for a young rookie HC to lead, and as HC he has to lead. The Ryan/Dika relationship was pretty toxic that last year and would have torn many weaker teams apart, talent and winning is a great salve we currently lack.
