The amazing writing of this show made Frank and Marie stay together, which in real life would never happen. They would've been done after at most, a year LOL. Just like The Needlers in SNL. "Frank and Marie: the couple that should be divorced" LOL
@kendallrivers1119 Жыл бұрын
Actually a lot of older couples that have been married fifty plus years are Marie and Frank. Their marriage is actually healthier than Debra's parents because they don't keep stuff in all the time. That's why Debra's parents got divorced while Frank and Marie stay together.

In "Frank's Tribute". They elected him, man of the Year. If they didn't have any nice things, to say about him. Wonder why he was elected.
@miroslavtomic70382 жыл бұрын
Craziest thing about it all... 95% of it all was total improvisation on the actors' part. They were just given general guidelines for the episode and a few lines each to start, but the rest was almost totally up to them. There is a story that Peter Boyle never read anything that was given to him and he never attended rehearsals and that he did improvisations on the spot at all times. Most of other actors, especially Doris Roberts, have said many times that the hardest part of the show was to keep up with Peter's amazing improvisations as it was often very hard to think of an answer on the spot.
@kendallrivers1119 Жыл бұрын
OK you blatantly just lied here lol. Anyone whose actually a fan of this show would know that they rarely improvised anything because the scripts were so well written. Only Ray would adlib certain jokes in rehearsals. Nice try, though lol.

It would be awesome to have a reboot of the show. Ray and Debra are the grandparents. Debra becomes Marie. Ray becomes Frank. It is sad, one of the twin boys passed away, in real life. Robert is that uncle who won the lottery and is finally living his dreams after retiring from the NYPD with loads of women wanting him and Ray is secretly jealous and holds that against Robert for winning the lottery. #future_screen_writer
