I've been digging and digging to find a decent wireless N64 controller. The RetroFighter Brawler is for PC only. No Android or Linux support. I already have the 8bitdo Pro 2 controller. I love it. It has been abused and still doesn't drift. Battery life is unmatched. And its cross platform support is insane. So, an N64 button layout/Gamecube handgrip controller is heacily welcomed. ❤️

I dont See anything about that IT IS Limited Not even a two per Person limitation. I think they Accept all Kind of preorders for the First batch i think , 4 years of development isnt cheap and with that small price compared to an original N64+ Expansion Pack , WiFi Mod and upscaler, i think they made the money over with the huge demand. I don't like the floating pads, altrough they may feel good, they are fragile, and parts inside might break if you accidently press to hard (happened to my brandnew RetroBit Megadrive 6button fightpad, after only two hours of playing)...

If you can buy an original Sega CD that still works and you have a Analogue Mega Sg, you already have an FPGA version of that.

@@cr4sh0veride You could literally play all the Sega CD games on the Analogue Mega Sg, you just need a Mega EverDrive or the Mega Sg from Terra Onion, then flash all the Sega CD ISO roms onto an SD Card and load them to the Mega Sg then go to the internal console menu and turn on Sega CD audio and viola you can play Sega CD games on Mega Sg. You don't even need to use the disc or the add-on.

I managed to get one. Didn't feel hard to do at all. Maybe my color option wasn't the popular one? I chose white. When I went to pre-order the controller off amazon, it was fully in stock in white, but sold out in completely in black. I'm guessing most people went for the black one, and that's the one everyone is fighting for. I feel real lucky that I liked it in white😅

White looks clean and pops, while black has more of a sleeker stealthier look to it. Both are great, and it's hard to make a decision... if you even get a decision. Like you said, pre-ordering this thing is likely going to be a matter of taking which ever one you can get. I'm leaning more towards white, but I wouldn't be upset at all if I ended up with black.

I think that see-through plastic tends to make hardware look kinda cheap, so if I were in your shoes, I'd get a solid color, but if you're keen on waiting, I don't think it will be multiple years from now. Because they don’t emulate. They recreate console to play the game cartridges exactly how it used to be. You’d have 20 different cartridge slots on one console, on top of 40 different controllers slots. It’s clear they remake consoles because the companies won’t do it themselves. And they can’t be sued because of it

Yeah, it's a fair point but in this instance, the Cycle 10 FPGA has about double the logic elements. It wouldn't be possible to do cart adapters on the old units along with 4k. Mixing and matching cd units is tricky and Analogue not only has to support the full PSX library but also create a custom bios. Same with the Saturn. There are not small feats and cost of development comes from selling hardware which we assume they make a profit. Considering the Cycle 10 GX costs about $250 alone, not sure how they're doing it this time around. The MARS project released this year which was suppose to be a base FPGA unit with multiple cart adapters but so far nothing has materialized.

Nintendo needs to make a modern Nintendo cart console.. That supports all previous cart console systems.. Nes...snes..and Nintendo 64. With a online multiplayer network. Pop in and cart..and play local or online multiplayer. Maybe start developing games for those systems again. There would be a huge market for a new Nintendo made Zelda ..mario..etc Game for nes..snes..or n64. That would make to much sense. And Nintendo hates it's older systems and games.

That honour goes to the 360, XBA & XBL was amazing, still unbeaten today, for couch MP, the N64, CBFD alone has some of the most fun you can have with local MP, the bank robbery map, the tank maps, then you have MK64, Smash, GE:007, Mario Party 1-5, SW:EP1:Racer, Killer Instinct, Doom 64, Quake 64, Turok series, Perfect Dark, a lot of fun, N64 was an FPS powerhouse, the DC has the better version of EP1:Racer though, plus you have Fur Fighters, Toy Commander, Quake 3 Arena, Virtual Fighter, Sega Rally, Ready 2 Rumble & the sequel, Soul Calibur, Rayman Arena, and many others, don't forget PS1 though, another couch MP powerhouse, Hogs of War, Red Alert, Gran Turismo, Ridge Racer, Real Karting, Felony 11-79, Destruction Derby, Road Rash, Fifa98/99, Bust-A-Move-2000, Teken 3, Soul Blade.

Yet it's four controller ports were hardly ever utilize by Sega. Sonic Adventure 1 only had 1 player, Sonic Adventure 2 only had 2 players, both Crazy Taxi 1 & 2 only had 1 player, Shenmue 1 & 2 are literally just single player game, Virtua Fighter 3tb only had 2 players, Fighting Vipers 2 was 2-player, Sakura Taisen 4 was only 1 player, Space Channel 5 was only 1-player while its sequel only had 2-players, Sega Rally Championship 2 only had 2-players, the Dolphin: Defender of the Future was only 1 player, Seaman was only 1 player, Samba de Amigo had only 2 players, Puyo Pop Fever only had 2 players, Skies of Arcadia only had 1 player, and Phantasy Star Online games only had 1 player offline. The only few games that had 4-players are ChuChu Rocket and Sega Swirl and the rest are third party games like Marvel vs. Capcom 1, San Francisco Rush 2049, Slave Zero, Power Stone 2, Bomberman Online, and Sonic Shuffle (which was made by Hudson).

I own a 70" Sharp 3D tv - and although its not 4K all the original consoles look fine on it. Original hardware / original controller... only way to go.

Well, the controller will be nice to have when playing the far better experience that is the Mupen core in RetroArch. Hard to beat 8K internal rendering with proper widescreen in numerous titles, along with per-game crop options to handle the wildly inconsistent framing of N64 games. Money is better spent on a Retrode 2 with adapter to dump your own carts for software emulation.

I too am exited. Unlike the nes or snes analogue systems, I actually have a physical library for this. I have the pocket and was pleased of the visuals of it. Funny thing is last week Finalmouse announced their new mouse which was all black. I've been waiting for an all black mouse since I first heard of them last year. However, this and that pre orders are on the same day. Since I have a library of n64 games and I don't play alot of fps on my pc (yet). I'll most likely be preordering this instead. My n64 is still in great condition and i'm planning to get this order to "retire" that one. I started getting a few n64 games since the wii u eshop closed like BnK and OoT.

I personally would rater an N64 Classic Edition Mini, but that's just where I'm at with gaming. No hacking or pc emulation, just a legit mini console. Especially if they currently have the rights to 007.

It looks good. Price wasn't as bad as I was expecting at first glance, but it's a bit worse not including a controller. I'm more curious about the 8bitdo controller. I hope we see comparisons between it and the others that have come out from retro fighters, retrobit and others

What's wrong with the old n64 controller? Its looked strange but nothing was wrong with it. It functions perfectly fine. It was two controller in one. Analog and dpad and you could swap depending what the game was programmed for, and this was at a time when analog was new so they incorporated both into one. I dunno why we're trying to fix something that wasn't broken.

I kind of agree with you and the OP new controller looks just like an Xbox one with one joystick. Just ordered the 3d and I’m probably gonna get a used n64 controller to just plug into this maybe or use Xbox wireless controller

Not doing it for me. Never been an N64 fan personally, but if that's for you then awesome! Now if Analogue would put some frick'n effort into polishing up the DUO firmware that would be nice. Kind of shitty they left the DUO in it's half-assed state.
