This band. This freaking band man. This band has managed to make the sound of my soul.

Just saw them open for Deafheaven, but I hadn't heard of them before. I'm impressed that all 4 of them get equal attention on stage. They all play side by side, even the drums, and all 4 of them sing. I don't think I've ever seen a band do that.

Coldplay does have all 4 of their members sing regularly but obviously Coldplay is not as memorable or as interesting as Holy Fawn.

Go two layers deeper. Who influenced Beach House, Phanto, EITS and Defs? Those are the bands you truly want to sit down and listen to. That's how you find out that your heroes have borrowed/taken/stolen tons from many others original creations.

An absolutely brilliant, heavanly song to miraculously follow up with honors to their masterpiece of Death Spells, and their Act 1, curtain dropping Realms prior to that. It (unknowingly how) supercedes the production accomplishments of the latter two albums, but in a preserved, natural easing of elemental value that ages perfectly, missing any other bands' noticable willfulness to make their sound sweeter. The four members from the Phoenix Metro area of the desert, Alex, Ryan, Austin and Evan create an audible oasis to the thirsting ear of rock fans who want the best of intricate, yet appealing, musicianship, combined with phenomenal production and engineering perfection that calms the aching Eustachian Tube from the almost Black Metal-esque thunderstorm breakdowns, immediately after climaxing your senses, providing enough breath to calm your heart rate before the next exhale of emotional distortion and vocals. Overall, best band to come out, different, sonically thoughtful, and humble that Ive seen in a very long time. Do yourselves a favor and pick any of their albums, for any circumstance that allows you uninterrupted listening pleasure, song to song.

This new album is better than I even expected. That Deafheaven tour w Holy Fawn is legitimately one of the best shows I've ever been to, and I've been going to shows for 20 years.
