Second time around for me. I tied it. It works. I just added a little non lead between the thorax and bead with a little super glue too. It seems to help anchor the bead as well. Very good. Thanks again.

Nice tie! Great fly! You really should show that Hare's Mask (Bunny face!) and your partridge skin too. Krystal Flash in pearl or copper makes a nice rib with lots of points of flash. To help with folding hackle fibers, you can also dampen your fingers, which helps keep them in place behind your thread. A little bit of water on your fingers works (dip tips in a small bowl of water) for that or you can lick your fingers to dampen them but then you have to take into account of anything on the material your folding. Another trick is to use the back edge of your one of your scissor's blade to run along the base of the fibers to fold them over. That takes a bit of practice to keep from breaking your feather while doing it, but it really folds them nicely and is a very handy skill to develop. Thanks to Cal Bird for showing me that back in the 80's.
