Maybelline Full'n'Soft! It was the first mascara I used. I tried it again lately and it's the best for me. It literally separates every single lash, holds a curl and it's buildable. I think old mascaras in general are better than the newest formula for a natural fluttery look.

i forgot clinique was even a brand bc their branding does nothing for me, but i recently snagged their high impact mascara (a tubing mascara!) and hahahahahahah nothing will ever compare ever ever again - can do both a natural and dramatic look if u decide to go light or build it up while still separating lashes beaaaauutifully (which I'm a stickler about bc i have like 5 eyelashes so clumping is a big problem for me). volume, separation, lengthening, and capacity for drama. also comes off so easily. for 20 bucks a more perfect one couldn't exist

I have been going broke trying every high end mascara there is for many years. The first couple of times it works okay. Some better than others. Then they all seem the same. Does the air do something to the formulas? Amanda mentioned Essence so I went to Ulta and got the black and turquoise one and the waterproof one just in case and I still didn't come close to paying what I usually paid for one. Tried it and was blown away how full and long my lashes looked. I had no problem with raccoon eyes in the morning. I found it hard to shower off so I bought some remover and no problems getting both formulas off.. I use it as my only now. So glad I follow Amanda. I'll let her check everything out before I waste money on trial and error again.

For my fluffy, soft look I go for Maybelline Full and Soft. I’ve used it for many, many years & when I try new mascaras, I always go back to this one. It’s an older mascara, but I always seem to find it towards the bottom of the Maybelline display. Thanks for sharing your picks.🤩🙏🏼

Sooo, I'm from Mexico, and it's pretty common to curl your lashes with a spoon (or any other flat surface). So I first use an eyelash curler, then the spoon to finish it and give them a curler shape. 😁

@@DanielleNicoleMakeup yes, its very common in Latinamerica, use a spoon for curl your lashes, i also see that korean makeup artist use hot wood stick, burn with a lighter, after they apply mascara, for remove the excess and mantein the curl

The idea behind the spoon is not to curl every single lash but to give a round or more natural curl, not a dquare or "3 peaks/corners" shape as the eye curlers does.

My only problem with the Essence one is that it runs into my eyes and burns the shit out of them 😭😭. For my folks who don't need too much volume but want a ton of length and separation, I'd suggest the Maybelline Lash Stiletto Mascara. It also doesn't smudge without being waterproof, which is a rare gift for us oily skins LOL

I love the essence one but I find it transfers like crazy onto my upper lid/brow bone. So far my favourite drugstore mascara is the Covergirl exhibitionist because it doesn’t transfer, gives amazing volume and the best part is that it’s not hard to take off at the end of the day.

The Essence lash princess is my holy grail however bc I have longer lashes and oily skin it definitely transfers. I found once I apply that mascara, I take my hair dryer and dry my lashes with my eyes closed and it solved the problem for me anyway. I think bc it's such a wet formula it takes a long time to dry naturally

We have Similar lash preferences and I think You would love the new Lancôme lash Idôle mascara . Curved wand. I never mess up and get mascara on my lids while is unheard of for me. Very curling , defining , lengthening. Gives great volume at the root which makes my lash line look thicker. Easy to get off. It’s perfection for fluttery flirty lashes .

I like a similar soft, long fluttery lash. My go-to mascaras are Maybelline Full n' Soft, Chanel Inimitable Lash, and Glossier's Lash Slick. The lash slick is probably the least noticeable but somehow it really coats every single little lash and makes them visible so it looks like I have more lashes, while still being water/oil resistant enough that I can actually use it on my lower lashes too. I'll definitely give the Lashblast Clean a try, that looks and sounds awesome. That Chanel shadow also looks bomb on you and I need to get that ASAP.

I tried the Essence Lash Princess after watching your Best of Beauty 2020 video and I've been loving it so far, the formula was a bit too wet for me at the beginning but after a bit of use I can say that it's my fave low cost mascara!! I always trust your recommendations ^^

I love the covergirl clumpcrusher and benefit rollerlash. I prefer mascaras with a curved wand. I have only tried the revlon lash curler and the covergirl, but I prefer the revlon. It fits the shape of my eyes well.

How I miss Lancome's Immencils, not manufactured, I believe, since before you were born. . .but I date myself. Currently enjoying MAC's Extended Play Gigablack. Have enjoyed LashBlast. Will have to try the Essence -- what bang for buck that seems! I detest flaking, smudging, transferring mascaras -- so, it's amazing that a non-clumpy, lengthening formula for that price has staying power!

Try Thrive Causemetics mascara. It has fibers in it. I had a hard time finding one that both works and doesn’t smudge. I’ve even fallen asleep with it on and it didn’t smudge! My favorite mascara so far has been from a Chinese brand called Perfect Diary. Their lash primer actually works as a daily no makeup makeup mascara already, I swear it's the only thing that keeps my lashes curled!!!! They're available in black and dark brown, their wands are micro thin so it's soooo easy to control.

@@maddie4190 i would!! it’s def affordable (~$7 i think) and honestly the best i’ve tried. i use the opposite side from the curve if that makes sense? like the side that doesn’t naturally fit your eye, and that separates my lashes sooo well. i’ve tried a bunch, higher and lower end, and it’s still the best at getting that super separated elongated look

When exactly should you replace your curler, or the pad of your curler? Tara Lynn has mentioned a couple of times that she uses a heated lash curler, because she’s scared of pinching off her lashes with the regular one. The heated one sounds scary to me. Cover girl exhibitionist and Milani highly rated are really good mascaras.

I’m the same way. Mascara is a hard thing for me to find and actually love... my lashes don’t hold a curl well at all, but I HATE waterproof mascara... yet most washable mascaras don’t hold my curl! The only one that I have tried, to date, that I keep repurchasing because it checks all the boxes that I look for in a mascara is the L’Oréal Bambi Eye mascara in the washable formula. It’s one of the ONLY washable mascara formulas that I have ever tried that makes my lashes look really pretty and long, yet voluminous at the same time without being really clumpy... and it actually holds my curl ALL DAY LONG and doesn’t flake or smudge on me. It is my Holy Grail! I recommend it to anyone looking for a new mascara to try! I hope they never discontinue that one like they’ve done with some of their other good ones, or I’ll be back to square one all over again! LOL.

I also use Kevyn Aucoin eyelash curler and the cover girl last blast volume mascara. I love how fluffy and natural the mascara makes my lashes look but it always weighs down my lashes for some reason. If I only curled my lashes with the curler, my lashes stay up all day. I wonder if the waterproof version does a better job in holding up my lashes?

I just want to add that when it comes to non-drugstore brands of mascara, I always get a mini or travel size if they make them. They're an affordable way to buy bougie brands and by the time they run out, it's already time that u should be replacing ur tube anyway cuz its getting too dry and unhealthy bacteria-wise (which mine still last for way longer than u should keep them, u would be surprised how far the little guys go) I like Lancome Definicils High Definition Lengthening mascara for natural lashes and Urban Decay Perversion for waterproof bold dark fluffy false lash look. Both come in $13 minis. But it's been a really long time since I tried anything else. I'm looking forward to trying one of these.

You should try Loreal Lash Out Mascara *THE ORIGINAL FORMULA. For me it's an exact dupe of the Channel mascara. Also what really works to get my lashes Full.. Fluffy and Feathery is I apply pressed powder FIRST on my lashes. May sound weird but it helps to create a base for the mascara to grip onto so the lashes look feathered w out any clumping. :) ps ...the longer you use it the better it gets!

I've always wondered if I should invest in another lash curler. I've been using my tweezerman FOREVER and I'm not unhappy with it .... but I wonder if others would make any kind of difference?? My lashes lay flat with any kind of heavy formula so it's waterproof or bust. Currently using maybelline waterproof lash sensational. I REALLY wish more brands made brown mascara. Not black brown .... BROWN. I dont know when everyone decided blackest black was best but anyone with lighter eyes can make their eyes pop even more than with black but I guess its just not the "in" thing

Absolute favorite is Glossier’s lash slick. But I’ve heard that you can get your lashes to hold a curl better if you start with a thin coat of a waterproof mascara. I bought a waterproof one from CoverGirl just yesterday but then remembered that all their mascaras that I’ve ever used have a weird smell that bugs me all day. Does the new “clean” one smell like that too? Can anyone recommend one that is waterproof and has a similar effect to the CoverGirl one but no smell?

There is a waterproof version of the princess mascara from essence, it comes in a blue tube. That one is the one I use and really like it, the green one for some reason is too watery for me and doesn’t hold the curl. I have long lashes and oily lids so waterproof is a must for me.

Waterproof is the only thing that works on us unfortunately.. because it's a pain to take off..but I've found that the eye makeup remover that has 2 colours (oil plus something with the consistency of water) works best for removing without much irritation.I think they are called double fase? Difasika is the word we use in Greece, meaning 2 fases..

I can’t curl my eyelashes. I never could because of hand tremors. Blood everywhere. Omg, it was so bad. Soooooo bad. Tore off the lash line, hand to god. Pain like you could not imagine. It took forever to heal and even longer for the lashes to grow back.
