My partner showed me this amazing song, and it's been playing on my mind, mainly because I've been trying to figure out what it's about. Obviously you could take it at face value, and interpret it as someone valuing life more once they truly comprehend its end. My personal interpretation is that this is a plea to someone you used to know, someone who changed, or outgrew you, or for some reason is now unrecognizeable to you, and is happier because of it. It's being sung by someone who was left behind, and desperately wants to understand how to 'die', or remake themselves in a manner similar to the person they're singing to, so that they can find some of that happiness themselves. I think a good set of lyrics make you think, and this certainly has. Thanks for making it.
