Thank you Brother for sharing in a way that promotes inspiration and the Glory of God ! ! Having come through the 80's, 90's music scene relatively unscathed, I have finally accepted the Lords invitation to join the praise team at church. Your teachings will be an invaluable part of my transition from current noodler to a confident child in Christ who will honor him with song and praise ! ! Nice guitar also I might add and a great voice. You are an inspiration ! ! I'll be playing my '68 Gibson Country Western and my Taylor. I wanted to possibly steer you towards a really great breakthrough in guitars. They are made by Lagg, which is a French guitar maker. This model is part of Laggs HYVIBE line which employs smart technology in that they don't need to be plugged in as they have a built in blue tooth speaker, they have a wide variety of acoustic friendly effects which include reverb, chorus, echo or delay, a built in tuner and a looper. Now you might expect that these effects might be cheesy sounding, but I say not ! ! All aspects of each effect are easily programmable and scalable in their intensity and tone. The looper is so user friendly, it's almost a joke when compared to stomp box models. Check out Darrell Braun's You Tube video on the 20 model. They go for anywhere from 1000 US to 1500 US. They are all really nicely made. Check that out my friend. Blessings, Rob

Hey , thankyou so much for making these vidios . I noticed your guitar is quite out of tune. It looks like the same model as mine . Is it an hd28? I also have tuning issues with mine, have about 8 or 9 tuners.Tried ,Open tuning at 440, 432, strobe tuners u name it. Im starting to think its the martins gears/tuners. Just curious if u have the same issues, what year of production is yours and what kind of tuner heads are on yours. Im seriously thinking of changing mine. Thanks again.

Thanks, Brian ... LOVE this song and play it a BUNCH at church ... 2 things .. 1) I've always played Em7 where you go to F in the bridge (??) I'll be trying out the F next time, and 2) Do you do the "Holy, Holy is the Lord Almighty" outro, and if so what chord progression are you using? Thanks, Man!
@kevingenon59045 жыл бұрын
Thank you! I am a beginner and having a hard time for the F chord so Em was the right answer! Thanks

If you are concerned about your lifted middel finger being misinterpreted you could just mute the E string with the middle finger. Do this by laying your finger on the top of the neck so that it just touches the E string.
@boris0106669 жыл бұрын
Great tutorial! Thank you. I do live this song! Bless you brother. On a side note though (and forgive me if I'm wrong), isn't the "C" chord you're doing actually a "Cmaj9?"
@Powerflare9 жыл бұрын
boris010666 Cadd9 (x32033; C,E,G,D,G). Technically, when he mutes the D string with his middle finger, it's a Csus2 because there's no third present in the chord (x3x033; C,G,D,G). Functionally, they're nearly identical, especially when functioning as the IV chord in G major. A Cmaj9 is similar to a Cadd9 chord. The difference between the two is the seventh chord tone. The formula for a maj9 chord is 1-3-5-7-9 (in the case of Cmaj9, C-E-G-B-D) and the add9 is simply 1-3-5-9 (C-E-G-D). The fifth is often an optional chord tone when it comes to constructing larger chords. For example a popular (moveable) Cmaj9 voicing is x3243x (C,E,B,D). Hope that helps!

Yamaha ! I have many brands up to several thousand dollars. Yamaha is the best price and value for beginners(i still love mine). Best intonation and playability of the bunch.
