Sometimes, I dream of taking a break from "normal" society to ride the rails and play in a band like this. I love it.

Thanks for the comment. Unfortunately that's how Asheville is. Small sidewalks create the flow of traffic in front of the camera.

Think about it: listen to the mostly schlock music played on lamestream radio, and you can kind of get it. Most "pop" music is utter trash, has been for a long time. A great number of pop artists aren't even skillful on an instrument. Tin Ear Syndrome, I call it.

Not everything that skips showering and dresses like a 1915 vagabond is true crust. I appreciate the hell out of their musicianship but have always found them to be trying WAY TOO hard with the image thing. It detracts from the overall. Look at Pat the Bunny, looked like a drug taking homeless person who didn't give a fuck because... he was! Didn't need a costume.

Usually what most people do is gather in a crowd and tip after, you can see their reflections in the store window. But as for some passers-by...? Maybe they are just part of the Matrix.

BUT - where is Abby????
@ashevillencbusking3 ай бұрын
Abby who lol? Abby is a narcissist A-hole that abandoned her community because she got famous on KZbin. She's a no talent hack who plays the same pattern on her spoons for every song. She has somehow ruined the busking scene here because it's dead now since she left. She packed up years ago and moved to Kansas. She used to be a part of the Asheville Busker Collective who fought for buskers rights to play in Asheville without permits or any restrictions. I believe she influenced a lot of buskers to never come back here. Do you know what's funny? Asheville has a paper called the Mountain Xpress who does a Best of WNC poll with awards for businesses, people, etc. She just won Busker of the Year 2024 and she hasn't performed here in years. LMFAO. Thanks Abby!
