The message in the Gita advises people to do their duty. And one can definitely attain God while doing their duty by practicing Karma Yog, which will be described more in Chapter 3. Many God-realized saints in Indian history were householders and kings like Prahlad, Dhruv, Ambarish, Prithu, etc. They did their kingly duty but were also God-realized. Arjun was a warrior before listening to the Gita, and he was still a warrior after that! The only change was in his consciousness. He was fighting the war now as a service to the Lord. Please listen to Swamiji's explanation on the verses 2.38, 2.47-51 to better understand the science of working without attachment. Links below. @Humphrey Ramrekha There are a lot of other forms of life apart from humans, who also receive the human body at some point. Since we are at kalyug (almost at the end of this cycle of creation), lots of other beings have reached the point of receiving human birth (karma doesn't apply to other beings as they don't have the sense of right & wrong, so they just get automatically promoted to higher forms & receive the human body also at one point), which explains the increase in human population. The no. of humans becoming 'maya-nivritt' is significantly less. And 'moksha' is not the ultimate goal of life, 'receiving divine love of God' is (Swamiji & Maharaj ji have a lot of videos on this topic). Hope this helps. Radhey Radhey!
