They absolutely need to add a backrest with the step up seat. I have it on my Mustang solo seat and it works great. Recently purchased the Lowrider ST in tobacco fade, and I’ve been looking for a custom seat. The backrest would seal the deal! Hopefully, Saddleman takes your request seriously. I think it would be a big hit!

I got the Saddlemen Explorer seat custom made to match my blue & white fast johnnie low rider st and went on a 4300 mile road trip 2 days after I got it. Just returned last week and the seat was amazing!

I have the San DIego Customs step up on my FXLRST and it is perfect. I wouldn't want a bigger/bulkier looking touring back rest on a softail frame. It just wouldn't look right. The height is adjustable for commuting/touring, and you could remove it if you wanted a cleaner look while around town.

That intro and statement you made in the beginning is absolutely true. I am guilty of just hanging and partying the day off and forgetting why I am even off from work. Thank you to all who have served 💪

Sandy, a small overlooked dimension…the TOUR seat actually pushes you forward a noticeable amount more than the regular step-up. Makes for a more comfortable reach for the bars. It also seems to place you about 1/2” higher in the cockpit, fixing some hip and knee angle issue with mid controls on m8 softails.

I didn’t realize that . Thanks

Any seat with a backrest wins for touring! That being said, any aftermarket seat is better than a stock Harley seat! Use the other for your day cruising. Special thank you to all who have served.

I have the SD seat with the tiny backrest and installed the same backrest you have on the tourer. The issue is that it pulls you a bit too far forward, but it does work.

Same as Christmas bro. It's now all about who can spend more money and buy the most gifts, or who can hang the most lights instead of Christ's birthday.

Hey there, thank you for comparing, I really like the Saddlemen step-up touring for passenger comfort, but I also like the C&C Whiplash seats for my LRST Fast Johnnie...It may too much to ask, but are you able to acquire a C&C Whiplash seat for the for the LRST to compare? thanks for sharing
