HOLYSTONE HS720E DRONE CRASH AT THE SEA

Awww man that suxxors big walrus ding-a-ling!!! 😭😖 This is the primary reason that I am leery of (and with more expen$ive drones, downright chickenshit of) flying over water 💦. My HS720E suffered a midair motor failure a few days ago; one of the motors separated from its holder -- apparently the two screws that mount it to the end of the pylon (propeller arm) fell off in mid-flight and caused the drone to plummet helplessly to the earth. 😭 The fall occurred at low altitude and the drone as a whole doesn't appear to have sustained damage, but I have as of yet been unable to figure out how to put the motor back where it belongs and put at least one of the screws back. A few weeks before that, I was flying in the same general location, the drone developed a mind of its own, and flew full blast into a chain link fence, breaking one of its pylons. The location of the break though, enabled me to cobble up a viable repair with nothing but some duct tape.

This drone hs720e has a bad gps module it appears to have connected to many satellites but its not coz sometimes ive flown before wirh 16 satellites while hovering the drone is not stable even theres no wind and when i make a landing the drone seems to have a toillet bowl effect. Now. i discovered and understand that the gps of the drone when malfunction it makes the drone going crazy some fly in any direction without any touching on the controller. when this happen th best thing to do is turn off the gps and your drone will hover stable but not as solid stable like gps on.

@@theleonheartchannel3026 In order for the optical flow positioning system to function, you'll need to cap your drone's altitude at 10M (32.81 feet) or else it won't have position lock at all (the wind could very easily grab it and carry it away). Sounds to me like you *MAY* have received a lemon. I've had a couple of near-flyaways in GPS mode as well, but nothing so severe that I was unable to recover from and bring the drone to safety.

Broken hearted my friend. This is a video of yours I was reluctant to watch, as all the others have been great for the 720E. It was truly painful to watch. but I say you tricked us sir ! you said it crashed at sea, and yet it was recovered and most systems work. like my 720E crash, it was extremely near shore, but didnt take a plunge. Consider yourself lucky its only the GPS that doesn't work. Mine I had to replace and solder, the leg and motor, and she still flies great... until my amature solder job takes her out of the sky to her death. My condolences on the loss of your bird. so Whats the next buy? a better GPS bird ? ( copied to facebook)

This was unexpected as i had fly in this shore for many times. The kp index is 2 and a mild wind but tolerable.The gps also is at 19 satellites. Im still lucky it was not crash in the water and till this time it can still fly but with gps off.
