Nice to see someone actually do some work instead of cookie cutting. I logged off 32 pulp cord of red pines with the 372 model just to see if it would hold up. Only complaint I had was it was a tad on the heavy side compared to a newer XP model but it held up pretty good I was surprised.

That's how I do it... bore cut and push with the skidder if it sets back on ya... nice to see someone not using a wedge on every tree. I just bought a couple of the neo tec pro (660's) mainly because I like the 660 better than 661 or 500i and I have lots of old parts saws

Those blue saws have got better.crappy bearings will crop up on the pto side eventually. Just replace them with good stuff.I have a buddy got million bf on his.only had a crankshaft bearing go..we got oem bearings in it now..nice job on the channel....

Thanks buddy. I didn’t think the saw would hold up this long.

Nice job man well done your saw was a little dull but you held your own proud of you

That thing cuts nice! You sure you didn’t put China plastics on a real stihl. “Sleeper saw” love the channel!

I've had the same saw for 2 years I don't cut timber but have cut alot of fire wood no problems yet once I learned how to start it. I choke mine 4 or 5 pulls put it on fast idle it starts. Mine will flood if crank it to much on choke an never seems to hit on choke after the 4 or 5 pulls put it on half choke it hits right off. It didn't do this the first year ?
@hoskinslogging98583 жыл бұрын
If your your saws ever flood, a carburetorated saw that is, take the choke off and put it in run. And hold the trigger in and drop start that thing till it hits. If you have the strength to hold it out from you that is. Works every time. But it takes me 4 or 5 pulls to start mine as well. Usually hits 3rd time on full choke. Then one or two more times on run to get it running usually

I know what you're saying I like the saw but I agree it's not a stihl

If you had to buy a saw that you depended on day to day. I’d go with the stihl. They’re tried and true. I’m blown away with my 500i

How you like it compared to the 661
@hoskinslogging98583 жыл бұрын
661 is lighter and will out saw it. Take the stihl any day. But this saw isn’t terribly far behind the 661 and costs a fraction of the price
@hoskinslogging98583 жыл бұрын
It would be a great back up saw considering the price point

I have one of the 372 copies and it is a good saw for the money. If you put on a genuine Husky carb and spring bushings they are almost like the real thing.
@hoskinslogging98583 жыл бұрын
Yeah man. I’m kinda shocked that mine hasn’t blown up yet. Well worth the money if someone wanted a back up saw

@@hoskinslogging9858 I am looking forward to that new 592xp Husky... Im a Husky fan but Stihl has been outdoing them for a couple years...

I’ve never had my hands on a husky, I’d love to try one. But I’ll tell you what. We’ve had that 661c stihl for 4 or 5 years and have yet to take a screw out of it. These things hold up man
