Hello, I operate one of these machine and I have found that when using the scraper unit with the extraction hood down, the edging ‘tail’ that was scraped off gets caught in the spindle and it throws an error saying invalid Chuck status. Do you have that problem?

Hello there. It is now a good while since I worked on that machine but I can tell you that you could fix the issue when trimming the edge, if you have too much excess edge left and the scrapers have a hard time keeping up you reduce the lifetime also of the scraping vidia plates. So I suggest you adjust trimming unit to take as much as possible from material and let scraping unit "shave" a fine strip of almost translucent Abs edge.

Even you can do trimming operation twice before scraping I found that helps in some cases when edging is way too tall.

@@ionutcristian8855 hi thanks for replying, I have the trimming unit set very close to the scraper radius, but if you go too close then you still see the lines from the trimmer

@@act-like-a-pro5185 that's true mate and it is really hard to set them up propperly but once you dial in the settings all is smooth sailing from then on. I had issues also with trimming and scraping units where on some radiuses (small ones) they would take too much from the edge but I guess that was down to the diameter of the trimming block. Just play with the settings and you will get to the right ones. Good luck m8.
