Hello everyone, I have had this BOX for 2 months now. Before that I had Xiaomi HDMI Stick 4K and then NVIDIA SHIELD Pro 2019. Dear people, I can tell you that this BOX is by far the best Android BOX I've ever had. NVIDIA SHIELD was no better, and no better equipped. With this BOX everything is just right, fast, well equipped. HDMI 2.1 WIFI 6 4GB Ram 32GB memory. all possible connections. I have a Samsung QD-OLED 65 inch TV, it's just all right with the BOX HDR + HDR 10+ Dolby Atmos works perfectly. Never in life is the Nvidia box better than this. With the Nvidia, I could not play HDR or Dolby atmos for my television. This HOMATICS Box R 4K Plus is the best and I recommend it to the best of my knowledge and belief.

This box has a very active bèta support, that's a good sein. It has a few Telegram channels, one for bèta testing and support only. Android TV V12 is on its way to this box and with that, AFR (auto framerate switching) will be supported. The biggest flaw at this moment. With AV1 and VP9 L2 it has more video codec supported then a Shield now has (KZbin HDR). For me, the Shield 2019 Pro is still number one, but this box is also quite good. With Android TV V12 it could be my number one. It is time for an updated Shield 2023. BTW, €129,- for this box, no more over here. For €149,- I woold not have bought it.

@@p750mmx I rather the android 11 ui. I have the Chromecast with Google TV and it has the android TV 12 ui. The new ui is inferior to the previous version because the shown apps tabs is not customisable. I had a Philips TV with the android 11buser interface and it was much nicer to use and much more user friendly. Also I just bought this for €89 less than I can the standard Nvidia shield. I paid €111 including delivery. The cheapest Nvidia shield I can find us around €200

Great review. However, why did you not test the HDR capability of KZbin 4K? THAT'S the most important feature that's missing from my Nvidia Shield. As the result, I'm forced to buy an Apple TV and the recent Amazon FireTV Cube Gen3. Unfortunately Apple TV does not allow VPN and Fire TV Cube Gen3 does not have Chromecast or Google Playstore. Therefore there is NO perfect TV Box out there. I have 3 boxes connected to my LG OLED and use them interchangeably.

HDR10+ is a no go for you since LG doesn't support it. For VPN On ATV, There's a way : check dns vpn settings from few providers, I can confirm it does work from 1st hand experience

Why would you need that much space if it's for streaming? Just buy a pc and use that as your server if that's the case. Lol. Also, there's a program you can use to partion any size drive over 32gb and it will read it. I have a 128gb usb drive on my onn box and it worked.

The Nvidia Shield has MPEG2 hardware decoding that has an error. In the US, some TV stations are encoded in such a way that it activates this error and the picture is pixelated on fast moving video. Because of this I have searched for a streaming box that is just as good as the Shield but doesn't have this Nvidia MPEG2 error in it.

Thats going to be hard. It means I would have to test the box over a longe period of time and just not possible with the amount of releases. I think its wise to pick a store which gives you a good return/warranty policy.

@@ChigzTech that's very good advice. Although i don't know how many vendors would accept to refund you after 8 months of usage. One way you could do durability tests is by testing a few popular brands. After all, testing durability is actually testing the manufacturer's production process (which wouldn't change much per model). You could give out TV boxes to willing friends / family / channel subscribers (hint hint) and they could use them long term. They would regularly give you feedback based on a few questions ( speed/glitchyness etc ) you could then get a good picture of which brands are durable. You could talk about this durability "score" whenever reviewing that brand. It would certainly set you apart from all the other channels reviewing TV boxes...
