All music directors entirely focus on producing music for songs. Additionally, movies in India often lack screenplay or script quality compared to others. For these reasons, I don't think anyone has created a good background score in India, not even AR Rahman or MM Keeravani. The only good score I have heard is from a South Indian movie. Unfortunately, I forgot the name; it's a serial killer movie. It has good scores, but it turns out the scores bear a resemblance to Hans Zimmer's and Antonio Pinto's style. Then there's the music director of the Vikram movie, another South Indian film; some scores are good, but most aren't. AR Rahman's works are more focused on standalone music rather than background scores. A great background score enhances the movie experience, but I haven't found many from India that stand out. However, in my opinion, the background scores for Bahubali and RRR are not satisfactory.

Just got to know about his backstory, man it just increased my respect to this guy, a guy so broke so desperate, attempted suicide twice, had noted down temple timings to get prasada as his only food source, and slept on a empty stomach for days. Ultimately some guy understood him, a divine perception, he paid for his keyboard and Ravi Basur never looked back Infact Ravi was the one who gave him money for the keyboard, he was just Kiran Basur To honor the one who changed his destiny, he named himself Ravi Basur to always be grateful for that person. Such a wonderful human being, from asking 5rs to eat breakfast to producing music for 500cr movies Hat's off ❤

To date in this past 5 years, Salaar has the best soundtrack of any Indian movie i watched so far... to me this intro music is so far ahead of its time... the only time i actually listen to an Indian movie theme this much was Kabali guitar's rift. Congrats! Cannot wait for Part 2 but now they announced it will take another 2 years!
