Senator Patterson goes straight to the point. He puts faith back in the concept that the big parties (Liberals and Nationals) might not be utterly devoid of sense. Although you do wonder how many conversations like this one are had within the coalition party rooms?! The sad thing is, while Senator Patterson and a few others demonstrate there are still patriotic and sensible politicians in our parliament, the majority of Liberals and Nationals I could absolutely see having no problem with, if not outright supporting, the Department Secretary on this topic.

@suzannestrong9748 recognition of Indigenous people's of Australia is hardly divisiveness, if recognition isn't afforded the Indigenous people's then Australia stands for a history written by whites for whites acceptability of their own stories and without inclusion of Indigenous people.
