I’m watching the series again. Episode 9, they’re still newbies, but already at the top of their game. So beautiful how day and night work together in perfect balance! You can see the calming influence Lan Wangji has on Wei Wuxian, and then the sudden burst of genius that WW uses to trick the owl. They always make a perfect team.

I love this short. It expresses everything about these two young men and truly made me smile and cry. I've never gotten over this drama, so I keep watching it over and over on repeat. I have always felt an affinity to this drama. It pulls you in and captivates you and stays with you always. It's no wonder it was such a big hit. In my 72 yrs. The fact that the ending specifies Wuxian's hallucination of Wangji's voice and figure because he's longing for him, hoping that Wangji will come back. Based on the drama, Wangji became His Excellency instead if Huaisang, meaning, he had to have an heir... which mean he needs to marry a woman. Ya'll I can't stop crying why did they twist the ending in the drama for the censorship huhu, they should've stick with the novel.
