Seeing them zoom out, they look so strong as if they could never be destroyed. I was hoping to visit the towers someday when I'd be able to travel but then 9/11 happened. This movie actually came out a year before the first WTC bombing. I understand why they'd edit out the Twin Towers every now and then, especially that scene. But you know, just because they're gone doesn't mean we should pretend that they never existed, either.

1:15 Seeing these towers standing filled with life and a soul. Yes controversy persude after their construction, but they have become living beings that breathed through their aesthetics , their purpose, and their structure. Yes lots would say that they are boxy, except that boxyness had texture and form, creating a dream like picturesque for many. The proudness and strength that helped New York strive forward that strikes my heart with both pain and sadness for all those who were lost along with yearning and nostalgia for the return to before the date. It was like many hearts were still kind, strong, tough, innocent and then suddenly torn what came after. If these buildings were people, then at that date, they have been raped and murdered. In relation to those who had lost their lives was a sad moment of eye quenching horrendous sights with people falling out of windows and with the twins as they went down, to the passengers in the planes themselves. The wishful thinking to return and ask the "what if it did not happen so many lives would have been spared. Yet even though the wound has healed and the scare is there, the scare itself will take many more years to fade gently away as the tide slowly rises.

This movie was how I found out my parents had celebrated their honeymoon at The World Trade Center! 😃😃. It makes me look at the Towers a little less sadder knowing that my parents loved them! A few years ago I was watching this movie with my mom and as this scene came on I had said ( rather glumly) “ There they are, in their former glory.” My mom then said “ We celebrated our honeymoon there.” I’m at peace knowing my mom and dad loved them and went. Any time after that, when I’d watch an old movie with The Towers in them, I’d look at them and just smile knowing that had been up in The North Tower ( Where The Windows of The World Restaurant was). And knowing they had checked out the plaza was cool to know to.

Empire Diner!!!🤩No affiliation, just admiration, but we spotted a real and iconic NYC small business as a supporting role in this video. Empire Diner's star shines bright at 0:50. Let's give small businesses everywhere some love ❤ - when you spot one, give them a shout out.

They edit the scene out for the TV version. They’ll say it’s for timing reasons of course. The scene is so worth preserving that they should cut something else out to make sure it’s in there.

Yeah surely if it were for timing then they wouldn't remove the most nostalgic scene from the movie.

Beautiful episode. I re-watched this whole movie two times today. Also, Edward Lewis from "Pretty Woman" had his office in one of the Twins, by the way.

I am just like Kevin. Wanting to travel all over New York City and see all the amazing sights the city has to offer. And even though the twin towers are now gone, we have their memorials and the freedom tower.

A replica of the Twin Towers could have been built with the Sept 11 memorial, but it just wouldn't have been the same.

The freedom tower is a rubish memorial the whole bottom bit has no windows it's just a concrete slab
@michaelbruvolt4221 Жыл бұрын
@davidcave7986 I saw a video where some graphic artist put a duplicate of the Freedom Tower right beside it in a good rendition of downtown Manhattan. The Freedom Tower design looked a lot better when there was another one beside it. Only difference is they took the antenna off of it. So was just like the old WTC where one had an antenna mast and one didn't

The third tallest tower built by the same architect who built the original Twin Towers resides in Tulsa, OK. It is apparently almost half the size of the original Twin Towers and it is replica of them. It is called the BOK Tower and is 52 stories and 667 feet tall. My height estimate is around 650 to 710 feet tall. When you look at it is mesmerizing knowing it is designed by the same architect who built the original Twin Towers. Of course it is not tall like the original Twin Towers but it is still huge. I wish it had an observation area on the 50th floor or the roof.

Unexpected and tragic. I think in 1999 or 2000 people did talk about if a plane hit the towers on an old flight forum
