Totally agree. As a grown up, I even like it better than HA II. This sequel felt really fresh, and very entertaining, and not a remake of the original. Besides, Alex was a very solid choice for Culkin who was already a teenager when the third movie got released.

I didn’t like Home Alone 3 that much there were so many things I felt like were missing in that movie. I didn’t like the storyline to it. Not as memorable as Home Alone 1 and 2. If they made a sequel to Home Alone 3 with the same cast I’d have a different opinion. But yeah I really didn’t like Home Alone 3 that much. It had some funny scenes but not as funny as first two.

I feel like leaving him for multiple important reasons is extremely realistic and scary, the criminals are fun to be around and Alex is actually likable... And suddenly Home Alone 3 is an entirely new cast. Culkin actually refused to return for the 3rd film.

@@evnikialezandria8545, Yeah, I heard that. I thought he didn’t return because at the time the film released, Cullen would be 17. Of course parents trust their kids to stay home by themselves at that age, so it wouldn’t be the same. In case you need more information, he was 10 when they made Home Alone 1, in 1990, even though the film says he’s 8. In 1992, the year when the 2nd film, Cullen was 12. The film takes place a year after the first, but Kevin’s age is 10, continuity error (or maybe he lied to Cedric, or he lied to the cashier in the first one, but I don’t see why he would say he’s 8 and the cashier was ok with it.). Home Alone 3 was made 1997, 5 years after 2 was made. Edit: At least this film was decent, in my opinion.
