Hey guys! We are on the Chicago Northshore spending Christmas with the McCallisters! The movie Home Alone is a Christmas classic. The movie was written by John Hughes and directed by Chris Columbus. The movie follows Kevin McCallister’s antics when his family forgets him at home while they fly to Paris for vacation. Kevin encounters burglars, the Wet Bandits, and has to protect his home. He quickly realizes that he misses his family and by a Christmas miracle, his family makes it home to him.
Worth a Visit: Of Course! If you enjoy Home Alone, check out the house at least! Most of the locations are within miles of each other, so it is not that bad to find them. The only outlying locations are the Happy Family House and the Church interiors. To get a look at the Church interiors was the toughest of them all! But, the church is beyond beautiful if you get a chance!

It's been...... 30.... years?!?!?! Oh my childhood...... Why art thou forsaken me? Me and my family loves this movie. I can never go there because I live in Indonesia. The current owners are not that nice, yeah they have remodelled extensively - they haven’t left anything for fans thats just whats left. They do not like the attention the house gets cause they are “ very private” which is fair enough but not when you buy an iconic building known internationally! And thats my point - they shouldn’t be changing the house at all out of respect. They have already knocked down the garage, changed the front layout and added bushes in front of the fence so eventually we wont see much of the house. They don’t deserve peoples respect they are hypocrites. They turned the sprinklers on once to disrupt someone filming

Definitely feel where your coming from. But most fans can be disrespectful. Walking up through grass, knocking, trespassing etc. It is a shame that someone who loved the movie didn’t purchase the house.
