@Jazz_Tamatea2 жыл бұрын
Sir, firstly as an elder you should know better than to run somebody else's culture down in public. I am part Māori and am very proud of our culture. What is shown in this video is called a Haka. It's VERY impressive for an Aussie "soap" to include this on the show. I humbly take my hat off to all of the crew involved. We have been doing the Haka for hundreds of years and it is performed for various occasions with deep meanings and messages embedded. With all due respect, kindly do some research and educate your narrow and low tolerant mind. Then if you still think it's "stupid" fair enough and then in that case there's probably no helping you anyway, but fair enough, it takes all types... The Haka is respected world wide and especially revered in the South Pacific. It also wouldn't hurt to proof read before posting to fix up your jibberish. Especially when you're taking a shot at someone 😂. All the best Jamison. Kia ora!
@jamesmooney89332 жыл бұрын
@@Jazz_Tamatea Still think it is stupid. My ancestors were Irish. Irish were a very warlike culture. They lived on an island, that was remote in the first millenia. In the first millenia, Ireland consisted off warring tribes. It was until the 1500's that England destroyed the tribal system. So in effect my ancestors culture was destroyed. Although the more peaceful aspect of the Irish culture remained, while the warlike culture was destroyed. As a matter of fact, some of my Irish culture was destroyed by immigration to America. My great grandmother daughter died. Her brother brought a bottle of whiskey to her daughter wake. My great grandmother threw him out of the house of the wake. In Ireland wakes are drunken affairs. My great grandmother said, we are in America now, drunken wakes are not done here. She didn't talk to her brother for years. I agree with my great grandmother that drunken wakes are stupid. Someone sticking their tongue is at me is an insult in my culture.
