Getting ready to host a birthday party for friend's kids in the neighborhood and thought I'd shoot a quick update while everything is in full swing.

They certainly put some care into designing the cabinets. Star Wars and Dragons Lair and Tron look amazing. For some reason Star Wars isn’t available to buy in England, really odd as I was tempted to get that for Christmas! But I always loved the sit in Version which when I was a kid felt like actually climbing into a Spaceship. Lovely games room fella, just subscribed as enjoy the videos.

Joust...I was a god at that game when I was a kid. One quarter and I could play for hours. Hundreds lives earned. When I got bored of playing, I'd pass it off to one of the dozen other kids watching me play. Those were the days! Sweet setup! 👍+sub

At least you get a chance to view and appreciate that Joust cabinet artwork on the side. So it's nice to switch things up from time to time.

Looks awesome man. I just recently came across your channel and I love the recent reviews of Joust, Centipede, Yoga Flame for example. It helps me with my decision making. Hi Danny. How is the monitor on your centipede? Is the dell monitor good ? I put a dell in my joust recently, love it. About to swap the monitor from my Pac-Man partycade with the on in the Dig Dug cab I just bought, think it will work ? Great channel, have referenced it many times. Thanks!

I love the Dell monitor in my Centipede. Got the same great results that I got with the Joust cabinet. If you like your Joust upgrade, you'll like the Centipede upgrade as well. I'm not familiar with the partycades, but if they are using the BOE monitors, then it will not work well. I tried swapping a BOE into my Centipede and it cuts of part of the image, because Dig Dug, Centipede, and Joust are all 5:4 ratio screens and BOE's are 4:3. I'm not sure I can recommend doing the Dell swap for the Dig Dug cabinet either though, because it doesn't work well when mounted vertically. You get really bad washout when viewing from the left. 19kfox has a video on it. Best of luck with your upgrades!

Maybe it sounds like a weird question, but are the slots to insert coins used at all in the Level up Midway cabinets (or other newly made ones)?

Not on any of the cabinets that I've owned. There is no actual coin slot, button, or even a light. I think they've started to include lights on the new XL cabs. AtGames will be including a coin based switch on the new Legends 4KP pinball machine.

I thought it might at first, but after a few tests, it actually isn't in the way at all. Doesn't block view and I don't bump the cabinet during play. The MvC2 cabinet would be even better, I think.

Thanks! I use a Swiffer duster to dust the cabinets and a microfiber cloth with some glass cleaner on the LCD plexiglass about once a quarter.

I'm down to 4 from a peak of 16. I kept the AtGames Legends Pinball (will upgrade to 4KP soon), Star Wars, Ridge Racer (modded to racer multicade), and the iiRcade, which will be sold soon. I enjoyed the look of them, but just didn't play them enough. The experience on my MAME pedestal is better, so that's where I play most of the time.

@@GoldMineArcade Me too! I did hold onto Star Wars, Ridge Racer (modded), iiRcade (modern retro games), and the Legends Pinball. Added my Sinden guns to the pedestal now that I have room to back up. That’s been a ton of fun.
