Not to mention, the lender should have discussed with buyer first. FHA requirements (inspections) are tougher also....LENDER WAS WRONG AND NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED

My builder added $13,000 to my new homebuilders for the increased price of lumber....AFTER I signed the contract and they already started building! They gave me no choice.

Almost certainly the contract has an allowance for substantial increases in building costs. And depending on when you are taking about, lumber prices literally quadrupled in many areas around 2020-2022. So I highly doubt your builder ripped you off here.

@@funtechu also...it took them a year and a half to build my 1,300 sq home, for no reason other than laziness. Interest went up 3% during the build. Made me sick.

I waited 3 years and found a half duplex that I can afford but the day I moved in there was water in my basement!! 5 months later and still water in basement when it rains ! The seller only disclosed that water may seeped through the northeast corner of the wall when it rains a lot. She however did not disclose that water seeped through 4 other areas in the basement including the common wall I share with my neighbors. Also, the water seeped from underneath the basement ground 😒 .
