Some will regulate personal care but not homemaker/companion. Yes, Florida does regulate home make/companion under a registration. They actually offer several different types of licenses. NY & MD are regulated states, however, NOT homemaker.

My pleasure, the key to doing business in the US is the follow the local municipality rules, state and federal laws where your business will operate. In most states(disclaimer because I haven’t worked in all) Yes, you would need to set up a business legally, have an address, etc. If you already have an agency and want to expand, research “foreign entity” on the SOS website. Yes, if you are in a regulated state and have a home care license… you can offer companion services. “Not Needing” a license, registration , and or permit for companion/homemaker business in a “Regulated” state only exist in a few states. Here are two examples NY & Md. The video was to inform those who offer companion/homemaker services only with a permit or without in a non regulated state must be careful.
