That cop was way out of line and if he didn't violate the law for his own ego, the man never would have had that accident. It was an illegal take down but they know he has no resources to fight back and officers are protected by qualified immunity, any fines and settlements are paid by the taxpayers. They had seen no evidence and off the words of a phone call stopped a guy on the street that fit a a general description and fought him to the ground. It was a major violation of the law. You can't be opposed to criminals while supporting criminal behavior from police.

It's absurd that people think they have the right to interfere and there is no law stating that a suspected criminal has the right to record. Bystanders can record if they do not get close or interfere in the investigation or arrest.
