Doing Gods work out here. The only kit with no information on it in Vid format. Thanks man! Edit: Also im noticing that the stabilizer is being kept at temperature and not lets say ambient temperature. Unicolor requires no warming for their stabilizer. Is this a preference thing or a different kit thing? Last thing, can you plug that water heater? Ive been eyeballing my turkey temperature stick thingy and lifespan's rough. although Fun its a bit inconsistent because Im always running tap water.
@streetzaway75564 жыл бұрын
Thanks! I just leave the stabilizer in the water, I don't think the temperature matters that much. As for the wash water, yea I used to use a turkey temperature thing but I got so used to the feel of 38 Celsius, that I just don't by hand now

Awesome, liked and subscribed One comment bellow said that the developing times doesn't change, but I read that as your chemicals degrade by use and time you need to reinforce it somehow, where can I find the appropriate times of developing or instructions to overcome that issue?
@streetzaway75563 жыл бұрын
I get my chemicals in China and all the instructions are in Chinese, so I'm unsure of the specifics. But I've always kept to the same times. There might be some differences but I haven't noticed

It's all the same, no matter how many rolls you have in the tank, the time stays the same

I found some instruction says that a pre-wash is needed before you start the develop process. But it is not found in your video. Do you think it is necessary?
@streetzaway75562 жыл бұрын
You can do a pre-wash with warm water for sure. It's not necessary but it does rinse off a lot of gunk.

Cheers for the video, I just upgraded as flexicolor kits are easier to get in Australia. With your 1l bottle of developer, how many rolls do you get? and do you extend the developer time over how many rolls you developed? Kodak says not to reuse the developer and i cant find any info on reusing it by others. was going to work with the Tetenal extension time with the developer and see how that goes.

I'm getting 20 plus rolls out of the 1 litre. I'm literally changing it just to be safe😂. I've always kept the same time. I usually change when I notice a big colour change, it gets darker over time. I haven't been replenishing it, just making a new litre each time.
@Aisjam4 жыл бұрын
@@streetzaway7556 cheers for that. Ill keep that in mind, currently done 7 rolls with my 2 ltr bottles and my plan was 30 rolls per 2 ltr. ill check the color difference after the batch is done.

@@streetzaway7556 30 rolls each 1L batch you make up?
@streetzaway75563 жыл бұрын
That's me being lazy and really pushing it. The Kodak guidelines are very strict, they recommend 4 rolls of 120 per batch. But I'm developing about 15 rolls with no major difference between the first and the last rolls

Hey great video! But i wonder did the agitation time and interval is your improvisation or is it the standard given already? Because the truth is i dont know about it and i just keep inversing my tank and it really tired me up actually😅
@streetzaway75563 жыл бұрын
Hey Jessica, the agitation times are from Kodak themselves. I used the agitation stick so it doesn't get removed from the water tank. I know black and white shooters love to do inversions but I haven't seen any difference using the agitation stick. Give your arms a rest 😂

The app is called 'Dev It' but I got it on the Google play store. If you are using iPhone, you could try searching, developer timer

Hey friend! Do you ever notice metallic (I assume silver) on your negatives when using this method of c41 (flexicolor) followed all the steps and did 3 rolls just fine. Second set of three had speckles of shiny metallic when I flashed a light at them after drying

As long as I know color developing stops just after you get stop/bleach in so I think you actually pushed your film a little bit

Yea, you have to be quick getting the next bottle of chemicals in, but developer is still removed at 3:15

@@streetzaway7556 developer is still in the emulsion and it still works growing dyes. Not for long actually but it is a good thing to get a stop or a bleach at 3:15 not just to get the developer out. As long as I know though
