I like to temper my spirits down to just roughly 45% prior to the activated charcoal filtering and then flavouring, thus assuring me at least 40% abv of the finish product. Nice videos mate, very informative.

I recommend for flavouring some salty liquarice caramels. You can find the authentic material from Denmark-Sweden-Finland area. Strong "papa's couhg medicine" aromas will hide any unwanted hooch aromas you might still have at this point. Best to dilute this down to 30-36 % alc-vol because this salty liqurice seasoning will add up some heat sensation in your tasting buds. For example 100 grams of "Turkish Peppers" from Fazer will do a fine 0,5 litres of that black medicine. Serve cooled or in room temperature as a shot. Not gonna be good in almost any mixed drinks.

Hi mate great video, just wondering when I’m making schnapps you start with your 750mls of spirit and I’m using ezibase as a thickener, when topping up to 1.125l does this not drop the alcohol content by a lot?

Hi ! Like youre videos! Nice man.. Listen how strong should be moonshine vodka (sugar wash) to put esences there. should it be more then 40percent or more? or it depends what esence i mix with?
@outie555two3 жыл бұрын
Depends what you make. The majority of spirits are 40%
@aivissticers33623 жыл бұрын
@@outie555two yeah but they are 40% before or after you put esence? Because sugar and esence takes away some of the %%

Where do you buy the mixers from mate very good video good luck you are star
@outie555two2 жыл бұрын
Sometimes eBay from the-spirit-guy or just go online and search for home brew spirit essences and do a cost comparison to get the best deal. Some towns have home brew shops if you want to shop local and have it in your hands that day, but most of the time you can save a few dollars online if you are willing to wait for it to arrive in the mail.
@robjohn28202 жыл бұрын
Thank you get back to wow they are so expensive they are nearly the price of a bottle of the original is that right? It's price prohibited I would like if I could buy like 10 of each different types or like a pack that has 10 different things in flavour to see what I like, I did see an Australian guy and had lots of different ones even Baily's whisky rum was amazon not available a lot and others 23$. 25$ 31$ for to do 2lt and no choice at all I looked up the-sprit-man eBay but nothing thanks you for getting back to me have a nice if you have any suggestions that would be appreciated thanks

I get mine from an online seller on eBay. You can also buy from home brew shops if you have them where you live.

How can I make a 63% Rum with that AirStill ? Thanks
@outie555two Жыл бұрын
The only way would be to only collect until it is 63%. You won't get 1.25L at that high percentage, probably only maybe somewhere between 500-700ml

I'm going make my vodka with redskins 80s style ..lol..and try the musk sticks as well cheers .
@outie555two5 жыл бұрын
I find the best way with the musk sticks is to empty a bag of them in a blender, and add 700ml-1L of vodka. Blend for a few minutes. Poor out through a chux cloth and into a container, then bottle it. Gets rid of most of the gunk that won't dissolve anyway and leaves you with good clean musk vodka.
@raffles888885 жыл бұрын
ill give it a go cheers mate .

Better add ginger, cardamom at the time of distillation and after that carbon filter the spirit. You will get smell less, lightly flavored super quality spirit.
