Your daughter is super cute. Trips like that can only broaden her mind at such a young age. She won’t get that in a classroom full of kids where the teacher can’t give her much time.

A place I know well, having been a member in the past. However, your beautiful cinematography showed me a new side to it. Thank you!

Oh, THANK YOU for sharing this visit to the 17th century village in Gosport. I also like the "SEWING" house very much. I studied weaving in college Art classes. I'd love to share with your family ~ especially the children ~ some more fun and helpful weaving toys & techniques. Please, do invite your husband to accompany you for a return visit to the village in Gosport. I think that you'll all have as lovely a time of it. ...maybe more so with Dad there, too. (Even if you don't video that visit ~~ just so you continue with your lovely family activites together.)

There's also the museums people forget about in *Bradford* like the *Bradford Industrial Museum, Bradford Police Museum, Bolling Hall, Cartwright Hall, Cliffe Castle Museum, Keighley Civic Centre* (Keighley Police Museum), *East Riddlesden Hall, Ilkley Toy Museum, Manor House Museum, Rail Story* (Carriage Works formerly Museum of Rail Travel & Engine Shed formerly Loco Museum), *Keighley Bus Museum, The Bronte Parsonage Museum* (along with the rest of Haworth) and *Salts Mill* (along with the rest of Saltaire). There's also the excellent *Waterstones* bookshop in the old *Wool Exchange,* the underground shops and bars in *Sunbridge Wells,* the excellent architecture of *Undercliffe Cemetery,* as well as *Bradford Cathedral* and the surrounding *Little Germany* to visit too. *Bradford City Hall* is also occasionally open for visitors. All the places listed above are historic buildings or are full of antiques and other old things to see, and are open to the public. A lot of them places have been used in films and TV shows too. There's also other manor houses, halls and other listed buildings scattered across the city but most of them are private. Plus there's many more museums which focus on the present or future like the *National Science and Media Museum.*

Fantastic video. Might I recommend the TV series ‘Victorian Farm’ and the related series ‘Tales from the Green Valley’, ‘Edwardian Farm’, ‘Wartime Farm’ and ‘Tudor Monastery Farm’, I think you will all enjoy something about those series, as they name suggests the look at rural life in Britain throughout various periods, and has reenactors/archaeologists living the life and running the farms.

Also: *24 Hours in the Past* *Victorian Pharmacy* *Emmerdale 1918* (filmed in my city) and *Back in Time for* (with the *Back in Time for Tea* series also filmed in my city).

You are feeding SO much Cultural Richness into your children's minds, Lillian - even if they're not completely 'aware' of it. Little Lady and her little brother are SUCH lucky people....................................!! God Bless you all ;-)

Looks like a cool place to visit. Nothing like stepping back through time. And there is so much history in the UK.

I am a re-enactor at Little Woodham, but unfortunately I wasn't there the day you visited, which is a shame as I would have liked to have seen you in person as I watch your videos online. Also I could have (hopefully) entertained you with Master Gilbert's magic tricks. I hope you can return again one day.

That doesn't sound very period accurate except for some kind of charlatan role? I think we had enough of that when the role was played by Alan 'Postman Pat' Morris

Your wonderful camera work makes it look more impressive than it is. Horrible historical inaccuracies matter less with young children but it is such a pity when the real work has been done by other re-enactors that this place gets plaudits for its continued boring to death by people with very little by the way of actual knowledge of history. In this clip you can see spanish tapas pottery, tomatoes, cotton, rayon, I'm surprised they aren't still using cut off wellies - anything goes. More importantly for school and homeschool groups - make sure you do your own safeguarding because as someone who used to used to volunteer there as a teen I get so scared about what happens when she gets to age 14 or so..... I loved it - for a while. As an adult I realised most of the older men belonged in jail. I did complain at the time - we even went to the police but nothing was done. After the Paulsgrove riots they had to do CRB record checks and a lot of people suddenly disappeared without warning and the committee was all changed. I know homeschoolers have to be particularly careful and that being so to take them anywhere near UK re-enactors is foolish. It's completely unregulated and not worth the risk for Horrible Histories in blankets ad Mummerset accents.

Its great to check it out, with the skills they had, but would you want to live like that? Have a look at the farming series Lillian that has been on the BBC , farming through different ages from middle ages through Victorian, Edwardian , its a fascinating look how they how they farmed and dressed.

@Rosida Andriyana Just because the Romans also raised other countries, does not mean that vikings did not. Vikings were murderers and thieves.
