I just wanted to let you know I remember watching this video 12 years ago during the depths of drug addiction and living a life lacking any meaning. Watching you with your daughter helped me realize how badly I wanted a meaningful life. Today I am 12 years sober, have 3 beautiful daughters and get to play music and sing with them. Jakob Vestergaard Nielsen I uh.. actually whistle like that. You can do so much with it. Believe it or not, once I get the breathing right, I eventually will be able to use that method to whistle with my mouth, closed. Anyways, it's really simple to get once you know the basic idea of it. The basic requirements are this. You place your tongue at the top of your mouth, and you make a sort of air tunnel with the side edges of your tongue against the the left and right rows of your upper teeth. The important thing is to have your tongue pulled back a bit, about a half inch. The tip of your tongue should never touch the top of your mouth, as you making an air tunnel, not a closed pipe. When trying to get it right from what I have said the best way is to change air pressure, and the size of the air tunnel. ANYONE can do this(you only need a tongue, you can do it without teeth). In fact, I once made the mistake of showing a group of kids how to do it. So many bird noises for weeks...

I remember my mom showing me this when I was about 4 years old. I am almost 17 now and I still think about this video a lot. I never had a dad to do this with, but I loved music so much it stuck with me to a indescribable degree. I remember watching this video or listening to it while falling asleep on my moms chest. She would hum it to me when I couldn't calm down from an autistic meltdown. I loved this video so so so much. I still do. It holds so many memories for me. I adore it to this day. As someone who never had a dad to experience this with, I'm glad that one day your daughter can look back at this and see the love that you guys hold for each other.
